Thursday

Jasmine.

"You're lucky I love you. I should've ignored your dusty ass like you did me, but whatever." Kait rants, making me sigh.

"Oh, I'm sorry for trying to protect my baby from flying out the window before accepting your call." I connect my call to the Bluetooth, and I set my phone on the center console.

"I knew you first! I get priority." She gives a high-pitched 'hmph'.

"Your priority got run over when I had to carry this girl for nine months, when she had me in labor for a whole 16 hours, and when I popped her out three years ago!" I shake my head at her self absorbed self.

"Okay," she pauses. "I can see where you're coming from."

"Isn't that amazing," I say sarcastically, taking a left turn and peering up at the rear view mirror, checking on my babe.

"You know I'm kidding. I love my little Liana." She coos.

"Find a new nickname. I don't like that one. Either say Liliana, or find something else, damn—darn it." I correct myself.

Liliana and I have been watching some shows on tv that have some cursing in it and she's starting to pick stuff up.

God my mom is going to kill me if she ever says something from left field in front of her.

"Well I like it, so deal with it."

"Is there a reason why you are pestering me at this unruly time." I roll my eyes when a driver cuts me off. I punch the horn and they flip me off. I obviously sent it back. I've matured, I swear.

"Actually, yes." Her voice perks up and I can tell something big happened.

"Would you like to inform me about that or are you going to leave me hanging?" I press, deciding I should treat myself and indulge into some yummy Starbucks sometime soon.

"Anne Klein and Calvin Klein are coming together this weekend for a huge photoshoot and—"

"Wait? Really? That's kind of cool."

"I know right! You know, I used to think they were related to each other."

"They aren't?"

"No," I can tell she rolled her eyes. "But anyway, they're having this huge photoshoot for a new collection, and I shall be modeling for it along with the other people. It's held in New York!" She squeals.

"Oh that's amazing, Kaitlyn!" I scream back. Then I wince, looking up at the rear view mirror, checking on Lily.

Kaitlyn Davis is a model. She never even made it to college. The summer I left for college was the time she got picked up for her first modeling gig with Target.

The babe has been a hit ever since.

"I know. Do you know what would be even better?" She asks, excitement thick in her voice.

"What?" I turn off the car once I reached my house and I lean back, closing my eyes for a second. I turn to look at Liliana and I smile, seeing she's now asleep.

"If you came to visit."

I sigh, rubbing my forehead. "I don't know..."

"Look, I can pay for a ticket, daycare, food, anything that needs funding. I got it—"
