Recap:

“Seriously Ellie, I don’t need to be yelled at again by my Mum and your brother would just kill me.” He said shivering. He’s right and we can’t have that happening. I thought seriously.

“Hmm,” I said playing with him. “Fine! I won’t say anything. Happy?” I asked dramatically.

“Yeah.” He said before picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder.

“What the hell are you doing?” I cried out.

“Well, we have some unfinished business to attend to.” He said as he moved over to my bed.

“Damon?” I asked lightly as he laid me down.

“Yeah?” He asked in concern.

“Don’t do that to me again.” I asked, my feelings for him showing and revealing my vulnerability.

“I won’t.” Damon said honestly before lowering his lips to mine for the third time that morning.

Chapter 20

When we finally pulled ourselves together we managed to make it to school and on time thankfully. No need to make Mitchell suspicious by us turning up late. Though all things considered, he would probably just think that I was running late causing us to be late to school. The girls all shot knowing glances at me, though worry was laced in there as well. Worry for me and what I was getting myself involved in. They all remembered how Damon acted yesterday and that meant that it was not easily forgotten. So how come I forgot all about it? Is it because I will do anything to be with him even if it means hurting myself? That does not make up a healthy relationship or do anything for my sanity. What the hell am I thinking, this isn’t even a relationship. I think I just like torturing myself. I thought to myself. A sadistic laugh should be inserted here to provide evidence that I am losing my mind.

“Well, look who decided to turn up.” Annabell said looking at me with a knowing look on her face. I just rolled my eyes.

“Couldn’t get your nose out of whatever book you were reading?” Mitchel asked jokingly. More like couldn’t keep my lips away from Damon’s. I thought to myself with a sigh. This is not healthy.

“Hey, why are you acting like it’s my fault? Maybe it’s Damon’s fault that we were late.” I said with a huff, crossing my arms.

“The only reason that Damon would be late was if he was off with some girl.” Mitchell joked before his expression turned hard. I swallowed heavily. He is not far off the mark. “You weren’t the reason you two were late were you?” Mitchell asked, the happy and carefree atmosphere draining away by the second. I hope he’s not thinking in the direction of Damon and I being together because that would be bad. Very bad.

Chelsea even grabbed Mitchell’s arm to hold him in place. Not like she will be able to do much if he does decide on killing Damon. I thought before casting a glance at Damon. He looked completely untouched by the darkening atmosphere, retaining his slight smirk. He cast a quick glance at me, his smirk deepening before turning his attention back to Mitchell and answering the death glare that was being sent his way with an easy going expression on his face.
