ALORN POV:

The emotions I felt years ago are resurfacing. The girl I was deeply in love with has transformed into a completely different woman. I miss our past life together. The moment I see her again after so long fills me with joy.

But that happiness quickly fades when I notice the changes in her. She is now a successful businesswoman, trying to secure the deal that my company needs. I feel a sense of pride in her success, but the reality of the situation hits me hard.

The feeling of betrayal intensifies when she avoids meeting my gaze, as if avoiding answering a question that has haunted me all this time. She leaves without saying goodbye, and even now, she acts as if we are strangers. I want to confront her, but due to the ongoing meeting, I restrain myself. I yearn for answers that have eluded me for so long.

She was everything I had ever wished for, and when I heard that she had left, I felt vulnerable. I was a mess at that time, trying to reassure myself that she would return. She had told me she loved me, and her words echoed in my mind: "I love you, Alorn." For months, I couldn't stop searching for her. I asked all her friends, but none knew where she had gone.

She seemed to vanish into thin air, and now, years later, I felt a sense of relief upon finding her, but then I received the shocking news. When a little boy approached her and called her "mom," it felt as if my world shattered. I couldn't believe she had moved on and had a child. The thought of her with another man made my fists clenched with anger.

Her smile, something I had missed for so long, mesmerized me. I desperately wanted to ask her questions, but considering the circumstances, I remained silent and focused on discussing the project. She appeared somewhat upset or uncomfortable, so I maintained a professional demeanor.

Her son was undeniably adorable, and I couldn't help but feel intrigued by him. The entire day was challenging for me, and I ended up firing eight employees. It seemed they were gossiping and their reports were unsatisfactory.

"Take a deep breath, man. Don't let your frustration affect your work. You'll have a heart attack," Keith said, sitting in the chair across from me.

"I'm not old enough for a heart attack, and did Lili give you the list of employees?" I replied, opening the RC file.

"Maybe you'll have one when you see her. But don't even think that she'll be here," he responded, showing me the list.

"Alorn, you see she has moved on, so you should too. She's happy and has her own family now. She will never come back, and you need to move on," he said, closing the file.

"Keith, of all people, you're the one telling me this? You were the one who told me to have faith and wait for her. Now, years later, when I finally meet her, you're telling me to move on. How can I do that when she's all I've ever thought about? She was the only one for me," I replied, turning away. Her departure devastated me, and it's thanks to my friends and family that I'm here. I always believed she would come back, running into my arms with an explanation, but she never did.

"I want answers, Keith. I long to hear them. I'm waiting for her to explain, and I won't let her go easily. The fact that she has a family now pains me. I want to yell at her for breaking the heart that beat only for her. Keith, just leave me alone, and don't tell anyone at home," I said. Keith left the office, and I buried myself in work to numb the pain.

I tried to get her out of my mind, but it seemed she was in the same place as me. She looked stunning in that dress, and I missed holding her. My parents were delighted to see her, and she seemed happy too. When the question about her was raised, she appeared nervous, so I interrupted my mom and suggested cutting the cake. But I couldn't take my eyes off her, wondering how she would react.

It became increasingly difficult to control my feelings, and everything happened so quickly that I couldn't make sense of it all. I wanted to confront her, but something held me back. I drank alcohol to numb the pain, not even realizing how I ended up in the club. I wanted to let loose for a bit. I remembered her smile and the moments we shared. Memories flashed through my mind, including that one day that changed my life.

As I tried to stand, I stumbled but was caught by strong hands. I shrugged off the hold and reached for another glass, but it was swiftly taken from me and slammed down with a loud thud. I looked at the intruder, unable to believe my eyes.

"Alorn, let's get you home. You've had enough," a frustrated Yuwana said.

"There's no home with you, Yuwana. Why did you leave me? Why? This question is tearing me apart," I replied, consumed by frustration. She remained silent and led me out of the place. Her scent provided a calming effect. Then, the words I had longed to say since I first saw her slipped out: "I miss you, Yuwana." With that, my body gave up, and I succumbed to exhaustion.
