Chapter 17: An Ambush

Zerah's POV

*KRIIIIIING*

Tch. Fucking alarm clock. I checked the time from the clock.

What the fuck?! Bullshit! It's fucking 3:00am in the morning!

Whoever set this alarm clock will die today.

For fuck's sake! Mamayang 5:30am pa kami pupunta ng airport tapos ia-alarm ng ganito kaaga?

At dahil hindi na ako makatulog, napagdesisyonan kong magjogging na lang. Tutal, sobrang aga pa naman.

I did my morning routine before I wore my black sports bra and long black leggings. Nagsuot rin ako ng jacket para may lalagyan ako ng phone.

I went downstairs, and then outside. Pero bago ako magsimula, naglagay muna ako ng earphones tapos nagpatugtog na ako ng kanta sa spotify.

First music was "Hold Me Tight" by BTS.

♪suljaneul biuni geuriumi chaneunguna♪ (I empty my drink but it gets filled with loneliness)

Hindi na ako nagpatumpik-tumpik pa at nagsimula nang magjogging.

I cant help but remember what happened yesterday.

*Flashback*

"Zerah!"

"What?!" I looked at Jordyn. Annoyed.

"Kanina pa kita tinatawag! Ano bang iniisip mo?!" -Jordyn.

"It's none of your business."

"Again with that bullshit. Tsk." -Jordyn.

"Anyways, as I was saying, the challenge is posted in the school's website already. Check it before you go to sleep." -Jordyn

Then she left my room.

I didn't even notice that she was in my room already.

Not minding that occurrence, I went to my desk and logged in my school account.

Update!
For the outbound tomorrow of Grade 12, Section-A, The venue or main base is in Seoul, South Korea.

Pinagpatuloy ko na lang ang pagbabasa sa update ng school website.

The mission is going to be annonced by your adviser tomorrow at the airport.

Tangina ni Jordyn eh noh?

Gabing gabi na nung pumunta sya sa room ko para sabihin na kailangan kong i-check yung website ng school.

Tsk. If I know, alam nyang nakalagay dun na bukas pa sasabihin, niloloko lang ako para ma-suspense ako. -_-

Huh? Wait...who is that?

Habang nagjojogging ako ay may nakita akong lalaki na nakatayo medyo malapit sakin.

...Lance?

I was staring at him. He was staring right back at me.

I was confused when he signalled me not to go near him.

In a flash, everything was dark. I shut my eyes close and fell to the ground.

After a minute, I opened my eyes and infront of me--no, above me was Lance.

H-huh? ANOOOOO?!

I pushed him and stood up quickly.
