During a fire fight
A General came strolling
Definitely the wrong time
He decided on publicity
Rounds going everywhere
High and low
The brave General didn’t care
Walked with charisma and slow
The brave General shook hands
Asked how everyone was
As we took our stand
We thought, “Are you serious?”
With a brief “fine”
Each was back to work
And back to the fire fight
The brave General had a friendly smirk
As he walked down the street
To another fire fight
Just to meet and greet
He wanted to say “Hi”
Ten feet and bullet proof
That brave General must have been
Rounds coming from the roof
And all around
What was wrong with him
We all wondered
Missing his brain and stem
Or was the brave General just bored
