There's been a lot going on in my life lately, Since Angel decided to finish out the school year in Japan with Taka but she plans on coming home before graduation, I'm happy she's living her dream with her dream man but schools been a bore without her. Taz and Chase moved into an apartment together and Shortly after she left we had a family dinner where she and Chase told us that she was 8 weeks pregnant, she also informed us that she's been accepted into an early graduate program where she'll be graduating 2 years earlier then expected so she'll be graduating with me. And to put the cherry on top the sundae Elijah's parents want to have dinner with him and I, which I'm high key scared about because I've never really had a long period of time alone with them, it's always been us in big groups so we weren't able to talk much. I'm headed over to Elijah's new apartment he moved into, he said he wanted to show me around the area he moved to since it's a little further away from his school/the city.
I walk up to his door, snuggling into my jean jacket more as I feel eyes on me, I knocked once already but I guess he didn't hear so I knocked again "you looking for someone?" I hear from behind me. I turn to see a tall muscular boy, about 19 with sea green hair and a thrasher shirt and ripped jeans "uhh yeah" I say forming my lips in a tight line "who?" He questions me again as he takes a drag off his cigarette, still staring intensely at me "my boyfriend, his names Elijah, he just moved in not too long ago" I say turning my back to the door so he'll stop looking at my butt "well I saw him come out the apartment about 15 minuets ago" he says rubbing his finished cigarette into the wall and flicking the butt in the grass "K, thanks" I say leaning against the wall and pulling out my phone "how old are you?" He asks out of no where "is that any of your business?" I state "well I mean you just look a little young is all" he says walking more toward me. I grab my keys and and make a fist, putting my keys in between my fingers creating a weapon " well" "hey! Oh my god babe I completely forgot you were coming at 4" Elijah says as he walks up the stairs food in hand, making his neighbor tense and walk back to his doorway, Elijah walks up to me and hugs me tight, kissing my forehead. But out the corner of my eye I see his neighbor give me one last once over before shutting his door "what did he say?" Elijah asks as he unlocks his door and holds it up for me "nothing, just being weird" I say as i set down my backpack and open it "I have a surprise for you" I say as he grabs plates and utensils for us "you didn't have to" he says setting everything down on the coffee table I shake my head "it's to add to your ever-growing book collection" I say pulling out a twilight book and the first Harry Potter book "wow, these are amazing. Thank you" he says smiling
It's about 2 hours later and we're sitting on the couch, he's sitting up with my legs across his lap and my head resting on a pillow as I read to him, he requested that I do so before going home "ok, I've read 4 chapters to you" I say closing the book and setting it on the coffee table "I like to listening to you read" He says shyly smiling at me "and I enjoy reading to you too, but I have to go" I say grabbing my things "I'll walk you to your car" he says grabbing my hand and walking out the door with me "thank you for the books, and thanks for coming over" he says kissing my forehead "no problem" I say rubbing my eyes "go home, get some sleep" he says pushing off my car from the leaning position he was in "goodnight" I say as I back out and wave to him.
Today is Saturday and I'm at the mall looking for a dress to wear to dinner with Elijah's parents. As I walk into a store I see a beautiful high neck dress, it's blue, knee length and exactly what I was looking for "hi excuse me miss" I say to the lady at the counter "yes" she smiled as first but then gave me a once over and her smile dropped "do you have a size xxl in that dress" I ask as i point to my perfect dress "uhh I don't think we carry your size" she says blinking too many times like she's an idiot "well I looked at the size chart over there on the wall" I say and point to the paper on the wall "and it says y'all carry my size, so please go look for it in the back" I say smiling and blinking my eyes "thank you" I say catching her off guard once again as she walks off. She returns a few minutes later with the correct size dress in hand "will that be all? Or do you need some shape wear as well?" She questions "no actually my boyfriend loves me and all my lumps and rolls" I say smiling "but nice try hunny" I say handing her the exact money for the dress and ripping it out of her hands "have a shitty day" I say smiling at her.
I finally get out the mall and made it home to start getting ready

I finished my face and stood up walking to my full length mirror "jesus please let tonight go well" I say as I grab my black chunky heels and my black clutch bag and my black trench coat. As I sit on the edge of my bed to put on my shoes my phone starts ringing "Hello" "Hey, you almost ready?" "Yeah how far out are you?" "I'm outside" "What?!?" I ask as I stand up and walk to my window, I pull the curtains back to see Elijah leaning against his car smoking a cigarette. "I've been here for like 15 minuets" "Why didn't you tell me? "I can't rush perfect now can I?" He asks. I can feel the heat in my cheeks "Ok, whatever Romeo I'm on my way outside" "Ok hun" I grab my things and walk outside, I turn and make sure I locked the front door behind me and walk to the car door Elijah is holding up for me. "Hi honey" He says as he pulls me into a hug, I hug "hi" I say smiling and getting in the car.
We made it to the restaurant earlier then we were supposed to and got seated at a table, he's sitting across from me "are you ok?" He asks looking up from his phone "yeah I'm fine" I say smiling slightly "don't worry they'll love you" I shake my head "I'm not worried about them not liking me, I'm more worried about them not liking my age" I say "babe.." but he did get to finish his sentence because his mom and dad walked to the table. We both stand up "hey" he says hugging his mom and dad then they all turn to me "hi, Its nice to see you guys again" I say smiling and extending my hand to shake theirs "hi, it's nice to finally be able to sit down with you Reese" they say in unison, we sit down Elijah and his father sitting on the same side across from his mother and I "so hows your sister?" His mother, miss Dakota asks "my sister Jill is doing great, and Taz is great as well thank you" she nods "that's right! You do have two sisters" she says and I nod "what's it like having all those strong headed women in your house?" She questions and I laugh "it's difficult at some points" I say "I wish, it's all sports and boy talk in my house" she says looking at me and rolling her eyes "hey" Elijah's dad says "that's kinda hurtful" he says and we all laugh "so what do you plan on doing after you graduate?" His father asks "I'm moving in with my best friend and going to beauty school" I say "sounds like you got a good plan" he says taking a sip of his drink "yes sir, I'm really excited" he nods "did you know she was honor roll 3 years in a row" Elijah says taking a bite of his food and smiling "she's really intelligent and beautiful, obviously" he continues looking at me as I hang my head in embarrassment "can you please stop" I say laughing "well you don't want to talk about yourself so I figured I'd do it for you" he says smiling "so what do you plan on doing after college?" His mom asks "I'd love to travel, I want to go to New York and Florida" I say "do you plan on moving to a new city? Or are you going to live here?" His father asks "I'd like to move to Florida or back to Chicago permanently" I say taking a sip of my water "do you have any relatives in Chicago?" His mother questions and I nod "my older sister Jill"
We stayed in the restaurant until it closed, but they have other things to do tomorrow so they decided to head home, Elijah and I are sitting in his car outside my house "it went amazing" he says looking at me "I'm glad, I like them" I say smiling he nods and grabs my hand "they love you" he says leaning close to me and I nod "I love you..." he says, looking at me, I felt like my whole life just stopped, like him looking into my eyes was going to make my heart burst "I... I think I love you too" I say, then lean in and kiss him.......
