Chapter Twenty-Three: Mystery Men

Clarisse's POV

It is our Prom! Wahhh! Excited ako!!

Yun nga lang, bawal magkaroon ng dates ngayon.. =___=

The school said they were preparing something special.. Well, walang nakakaalam kung anoman yun.. Its still a secret up to this point.. We were just told that it was a Masquerade Party with Black & White motif.. Nothing more, nothing less..

Weeks just went like it was just like ordinary days.. Actually, di ko.nga napansin that later will be the best night ever as oldies say...

"O anak, handa ka na ba?" My mother said after entering my room.. It was 5:27 in the afternoon and I was prepared.. I was wearing a sleeveless, white gown with a black belt.. I tied my hair in a bun.. Simple make-up, I don't have any budget to pay for those pro make-up artists.. Mahal na kaya tong gown na to!

"Opo" I simply answered.. She walked up to me..

"Ang ganda naman ng anak ko" She said..

"Salamat po" I said..

"Bumaba ka na, ihahatid ka na ng Papa mo" I nodded, get my mask and went down..

Nakasakay na ko sa sasakyan.. We were driving to Sofitel.. There was no traffic even tho, its Friday.. Tahimik ang byahe until my father broke the silence..

"Are you with anybody? I mean, do you have any boyfriend now?" He asked..

"Nope, wala pa pong nagkakamali.." I replied.. He slowly nodded..

"May nanliligaw?" Natigilan ako, may nanliligaw nga ba? I think there isn't anybody courting me..

"Wala po" I said.. I'm not that close to my father, actually, I'm closer to my stepmom than him..

"San ka mag-aaral ng kolehiyo?" Tanong nya..

"Gusto ko po sana sa Monreith University" I have been searching a decent school this past few weeks and I found about that school..

"Mahal dun ah, kaya mo bang maging scholar dun?" So, yun pala ang problema, pera..

"Siguro naman po" Sabi ko..

"Okay good, kase kung inde, you have no choice but not to enter that school.." He said as if it was just that easy... I just nodded..

A few minutes after, nakarating na kami sa Sofitel.. I didn't wait for any words from him anymore, I just went down..

Sinalubong naman ako ni Katie, ang ganda niya ngayon!

"Clarisse!!" Sigaw nya habang papalapit sakin..

"O bakit?" Tanong ko..

"Wala lang, sino naghatid sayo?" Tanong nya..

"Tatay ko" I told hwmer while we were entering the hotel, ang ganda..

"Tatay mo?" Alam nya kase na di kami close kaya nagulat sya..

"Yeah" Sabi ko..

"Suot mo na yung maskara mo" Sabi nya and so I did..

"Madami na bang tao?" Tanong ko..

"Oo, nakakagulat nga e.." She said while wearing her mask..

When we entered the hall, tama nga si Katie, madami ng tao..

Umupo kami dun sa isang table malapit sa stage..

Kumpleto na pala silang 3, ako na lang ang kulang..
