| Jones had found it, but he was the only one who knew. For years, it was rumored the Confederacy of Divided States (CoDS) had been in the business of illegal practices in regards to tracking their citizens, but no one had ever found any proof and no one had the guts to defy the might of the government. But Jones, a crypto-human from the rather quiet and small town of Fori, had tragically stumbled upon information his brother Xernan had been researching. Xernan had lost his ability to walk in a tragic car accident years past, and all the evidence had pointed to a solid logical conclusion that Xernan was not responsible for the death in the accident. Yet, because he was a crypto-human, the lawyers on the opposite panel had brought the argument that A.I. was too unpredictable and could've wiped evidence from the scene; and the government sided with them. Not only did Xernan lose his legs in the crash, but he also went bankrupt from the lawsuit and vowed to avenge his losses against the biased Confederacy. Jones was too young to understand all that was happening at the time, but years later when Jones had one day gotten home from school, he found his brother dead in his office with a note addressed to him: JONES, CoDS IS UP TO SOMETHING. IVE DONE THE ANALYSIS AND HAVE FOUND MANY DISTURBING FINDS, BUT THERE IS ONE DISCOVERY FAR MORE TROUBLESOME AND ITS IMPLICATIONS ARE LIMITLESS. THEY WILL SOON BE COMING FOR ME AND TRY TO MUTE THIS EVIDENCE BUT WE CANT LET THAT HAPPEN, WE MUST TELL THE WORLD WHAT CoDS IS UP TO. THEY WILL MOST LIKELY KILL ME THROUGH MY CYBERHOST AND IF IM DEAD BY THE TIME YOU READ THIS, THEYLL BE COMING FOR YOU TOO. TAKE THE KEY IVE PUT IN THIS LETTER AND RETURN IT TO POKO-BISTE IN GOI, TORUGLA. SHE WILL KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THE INFORMATION. I LOVE YOU BROTHER. XERNAN. Jones trembled as he stared upon the bloody letter and his dead brother on the ground. He found the rectangular fashioned key with a metal trim blotched with his brothers blood. Jones laid next to his brother to try to hear a heartbeat or breath, but both had seen their last function long before Jones had arrived home. He cuddled his brothers arm, scared of what to do next when all of a sudden the heard a knocking at the door. From his laid position, he tilted his head up to the direction of the sound and felt a chill creep down his spine. He wiped the tears from his cheek, and rose to a standing position to note a strange blue tint emanating from the front windows of the house. THEYVE COME FOR ME, Jones thought. He grabbed his brothers key, and ran towards the back of the house. Before he went outside he made sure no one was there, and from his perspective, there wasn't. He opened the door and ran as fast as he could. CLANK! Jones fell backwards and dropped the key. After a moment of gathering himself he regained his balance, picked up the key and stood up. WHAT DID I JUST RUN INTO, Jones said to himself. In the twilit sky, it was hard to see anything, but as far as he could tell there was nothing there. He inched forward with his hand reached out to feel if something was blocking his way when suddenly he felt something very cold and solid. He knocked on it and its return sounded hollow when suddenly a loud automated ignition came from it. Jones took a step back as hundreds of lights lit up to reveal hundreds of metaloidic bodies standing before him. They had come for him...
