Eurielle, locked the door to the tavern, breathing a sigh or relief once making sure the soldier was truly gone. She slumped against the door, feeling the calming hand of her father on her shoulder.

That was when she spotted him.

The lonely figure sitting in the back corner, his figure shadowed by his black cloak. The only thing Eurielle could see was that he was holding a small glass of rum in his black gloved hand. She sets the knife down on the table, "We're closed now sir" she says softly fixing her hair, and helping her father up, and to a bar stool. He breathes hard, his bones too old to be taking that kind of hit. Eurielle quickly goes behind the bar, and pours him a glass of water. Ryan takes it giving his daughter a nod of appreciation.

"For a woman, you have excellent reaction time."

Eurielle's head snaps up from her father, her silver eyes narrowing. The figure stands, leaving a couple gold coins for the beer that costed only one bronze coin. Eurielle begins to fish out extra silvers from her pockets. Wondering in her head just how the hell could he get his hands on gold coins.

The figure noticed this, and holds up a hand, stopping her. "Keep the change" he says coolly, removing his hood. Striking brown eyes meet her silver orbs. Eurielle releases a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding.

Well what a predicament. She surely didn't expect him to be handsome. Eurielle expected scars, albeit he did have one. On the left corner of his perfectly defined lips, going down his stubborn jaw and neck. The shape of his eyes was something she surely had never seen before. Sharp eyes, almond shaped, like he was from the east region of Asia. They were rare in her country, Haven, which was much farther to the west, but they were not uncommon. But she'd never seen someone like him before this day, she had to say she was not disappointed.

The man walked up to her, with slow and graceful foot steps, they made little to no sound. He stopped in front of her. Eurielle her self stands at 5'7ft, tall for a woman but compared to this man, she felt like a child. He was certainly way taller than her, possibly standing at 6'0 ft or more. She swallowed her saliva, pulling at the collar of her dress. The beautiful stranger looked her up, and down with those eyes of his, and in front of her father no less! Who glares at him.

The man, in return gives her father, a charming smile. One that, despite her mind telling it not to, made her heart skip a beat. He then continued to stare at her, making the girl shiver. He leaned down until their faces only inches apart. "If you were a man I would have recruited you to my battalion right away" he grins. "I'd take you for my wife instead, but the old man here seems to beg to differ." He leans back with a lazy grin.

Eurielle swallowed her saliva again, "Well-well...I would have wanted to marry you anyways...what kind of man ogles a woman in front of her father?" she questioned. Her heart racing this handsome man right in front of her, making her feel like this. It was all alien to her.

He leaned back much to her disappoint, giving her a light chuckle. "Yes well, when a beautiful girl is standing right before you, one can't help but ogle mi'lady. Doesn't matter who's around to witness." He waved to her father, "I quite enjoyed this tavern, maybe I will come by again" he flashes another charming smile, and unlocks the door, opens it, and leaves.

Eurielle let's out a sigh, calming herself before turning to her father. "You can't go to war, Father I beg of you. You will perish!" she cried. Her father looked down at his feet. "I know, Ella but I have to go" he mumbles, she slams her foot down, startling him.

"You can't go! Father I won't let you!"

For the first time since his daughter was born, he couldn't give her the thing she wanted. "My daughter, how will you prevent me? I cannot stay while men fight and die for our country."
