Dangerous Plays

Sophia's POV

TICK... TOCK... TICK... TOCK...

That was the only sound running through my head right now. It was all I could focus on. I could hear the screams and the kicking in the background.

"SOPHIA, We got this, YOU GO!!!!!" I heard Lexi yell.

I ran as fast as my legs could go to the warehouse with the bomb. I have never cut it this close before, I hope I make it on time!! That's not helping, BREATHE SOPHS BREATHE!

"SOPHIE STOP THINKING AND GET YOUR BUTT IN THERE!!!!" I heard Lexi yell again.

I reach the warehouse and kick open the door. Where is it?? Where is it?? I start running up the stairs as the sound gets louder. I run around and quickly stop by the window to check out the scene below.

"TICK... TOCK..."

I look around and I see a flash of light on my right.

Oh my mother FREAKING LORD!!!!

There it is, nestled in hay by the wooden beam. My heart skips a beat. I rush over to it and think of all the classes I attended to help in these situations.

Oh! This was a simple bomb! I felt myself relax a bit and started thinking.

I remember what the professor had said, "There are 3 unlabeled wires that must be cut in the correct sequence in order to interrupt detonation. You must first cut the wire that leads to the Primer, followed by the Reactor wire, and finally the wire that feeds the Ignition Timer."

I grab my pair of wire cutters and started the job. I look at the timer and it reads 1 minute. I cut off the wires and the timer shuts off and everything stops.

I can hear my heart pounding in my chest.

OH MY GOSH!

I did it!!! I defused the freaking bomb!!! Oh my FREAKING LORD!!! Mental note to self- STOP SAYING OH MY GOSH AND ALL THINGS REALTED TO THAT!!!!

I rush down the stairs but I can see someone entering the warehouse. I panic for a second but then breathe in and out in order to calm myself.

I walk slowly without making a sound and sneak up beside Mr.Intimidating. I round kick him but he blocks it and tries to punch me.

"Haven't you ever heard of the saying 'Don't mess with a girl or you will seriously regret it?"

He grunts in response and walks closer to try to corner me. Crap, well there is only one option left now.

I kneed him where the sun don't shine and twisted his arm behind him so that I could handcuff him.

"Now walk mister!" As I push him forward and walk out the door.

Rori comes sprinting out the other side of the warehouse with a concerned look on her face and I knew what was going to happen.

"SOPHIE, are you ok? I was so incredibly worried. I mean I knew I never should have let you run off by yourself. I mean you could've died. I can't even think about what would happen to us if something happened to you," she gushed out while trying to calm herself down at the same time.

"Are you done now?" I said with an amused tone.

We were all used to her freaking out over nothing by now on every mission so it wasn't anything new.

Ali rushed over to me and gave me the same reaction as Rori did, only Lexi wasn't spazzing out.

"Dude, you kicked some major butt," and gave the girls a look that said back off. "All right let's call it a night and head on home."
