Sweet Dreams

The dark blanket covers

The tiny village scene.

The trees whisper

Bedtime stories

For all the little

Kings and Queens.

Fireflies flitter

Like portable lamps

In a dark cave

The sweet song

Of Mother Moon

Lulls

Even the most active child to sleep.

The sweet dreams

Bring sweet smiles to the lips

That stars cast

Light rays daintily on.

But the nightmares thrive

On restless sleep

And troubled souls awake.

The dark creeps

Shadows and silhouettes

Bother the restless soul and

Tear their way

Into your sweetest dreams.

Monsters are awake at night

But those with good thoughts

See them not.
