Don't Notice The Vampire....Just Notice Him

I know he's hungry

His eyes show that all too well

Hungry for my blood

Of course not

He won't harm me

Vegetarian he says

He needs to protect me from himself

But I do not need protection

From him

I do not notice that he's marble

Only that he shines more than diamonds

I do not notice that he's cold

Only that he's comfort on a warm day

I do not notice that his family thirsts for my blood

Only that they treat me as one of their own

I do not notice that all the other girls drool at the sight of him

Only that he sees me alone.
