They said it couldn't be done

Why can't it, I asked

They knew not the answer

Filthy beasts, all of them

Six million dollar paycheck

At the end of every week

Is what they seek

Not the truth

That which shall set you free

That which they kept hidden

For so many years

Denying the public

The truth of all truths

But I unearthed their dirty secrets

And the filthy scoundrels imprisoned me for it

But through the prison bars

I told my friend the truth

And he told his sister's boyfriend's neighbor

And he said it to the public

And they believed him

For it was their own kind that said it.
