Sulu - I hate you, I love you

You and Sulu used to date. You dated each other for six years before the shit hit the fan. You had gotten into a huge fight and it blew out of proportion. You broke it off with Sulu and you regretted it afterward. You loved Sulu with all your heart and you couldn't believe what you had done.

You tried to get back together with Sulu, but it didn't work out. You would fight constantly and never got along. You took a break from working, keeping yourself holed up in your room. You read at least ten books in the two days you didn't leave your quarters.

After that, you continued to work as normal. You kept your head up, not showing any emotion. You and Sulu had broken up and you had to deal with it.

Luckily, you worked in engineering and didn't have to see him. You didn't talk or see to him for months. You still missed him a lot though. When you couldn't sleep, you thought of Sulu.

You guys were best friends before and during your relationship. You still had one of Sulu's jacket from the Academy. It was a couple sizes too big and still kinda smelled like him. You kept it in the far corner of your closet. You wore it when you missed Sulu the most.

You knew he wouldn't love you back. You weren't even sure you loved him anymore. You might have just missed him being at your side. You didn't have anyone to spend your lonely nights with.

It sucked when Sulu started dating again. It was terrible to see Sulu dating someone that wasn't you. You felt jealous, of course, but you got over. Sulu had gotten over you, so it was your time to get over him.
