You walked through Yorktown, enjoying the sights. You loved it here and was hoping to move in here with your boyfriend Sulu after both of you retire from Starfleet. You wandered down the street, passing all the little shops and cafés.

You passed a café and as you did, you looked in the windows. You recognized one of the people sitting in the window booths. It was Sulu, who was sitting across the table from a young girl with dark red hair.

They were laughing and talking like they've been best friends for years. A twinge of jealousy filled your mind and you immediately thought Sulu was cheating on you. But you knew he wouldn't that. But you were still jealous.

You crossed your arms and stared at Sulu. He soon noticed you and his smile dropped. You turned away and headed to where a local library. You loved reading books and you calmed you down. The Enterprise didn't have a library and all you had was the books you had in your room.

You walked into the library and hid away in the library. You had found a small area with a nice couch in the very corner of the big library. You hadn't told anyone about this spot.

You had been there for about an hour before you heard your name being called. There were multiple people hushing the person who called for you.

You raised your eyebrow, not even looking up from your book. You didn't even react when, out of the corner of your eye, you saw someone with a yellow shirt sit on the couch in front of you. You knew it was Sulu without even looking. He was sitting there silently for a few minutes, letting you read.

"Y/N, are you willing to listen?" He asked.

You didn't answer as you turned the page in the book. You saw Sulu lean forward.

"Y/N, please, listen to me. That girl that I was with was a long time friend. Her name was Jaxxy. She just moved here and once she got the news I was coming here for shore leave, she was ecstatic. We hadn't seen each other in a few years. I hope you understand," Sulu said.

You still didn't answer as you continued reading. You heard Sulu sigh before he took your book. You yelled in surprise and looked at him with anger flaring in your eyes. He bookmarked the page and set it aside.

"That wasn't nice, Sulu. I was at a really good part," you said, crossing your arms.

"Well, you can finish reading later. Are you listening now?" He asked.

You didn't answer but instead glared at the ground.

Sulu continued, "Y/N, you don't need to be mad. Jaxxy is just a friend of mine. Nothing else. I only love you. You don't need to worry."

"I understand. By why didn't you tell me beforehand? It would've been nice to know," you said.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. It slipped my mind to tell you. Please, I'm sorry," said Sulu, a pleading tone in his voice.

You looked at him. "I accept your apology, Sulu. I shouldn't have acted like that."

A giant smile grew on Sulu's face within a few seconds. He enveloped you in a hug.

"Thanks for understanding, Y/N!"
