[Paris, Chainsmokers]

Thea

I and Parrish became so close after we first met. It's fun even though I only have one friend, Parrish, but he's always been with me and has company wherever I go. Living in Paris is such a good thing because, even though I still don't know how to speak French, this city is so beautiful, and I saw so many sweet couples here. How I wish to be like one of them.

"Ms. Morris, come and meet me at the office now." Mr. Gerald calls our office telephone, and I immediately stand up to go to his room. I knock, then open the door.

"Ye--" I stopped when I saw Joseph sit on the chair in front of Mr. Gerald. Well, here we go again.

"Mr. Sanchez wants to meet you; that's why I called you here." Ugh But I don't want to meet him. I faked a smile at him.

"We will discuss this at my office. Let's go." Wait for what? He has his own room here. Of course, he's the boss after all. Stupid. I follow him to his room, which is on the same floor but a bit far from everyone else. We stop at the big oak door. Oh, this is his room; I thought it was a meeting room. I always looked at this room as a meeting room, but sometimes I also felt a bit weird because I saw no one go in or out of it. It's his room, no wonder. He opens the door and lets me get in first. What a gentleman! As soon as I get in, I look around his office room, and this is so beautiful. It has a huge window that lets you see the breathtaking view.

"Sit." That's all he said, and I just walked to the chair across from him and took a seat. "So did you already finish your design?" He asks, and I look at his disbelief. Did he just want to talk to me about this?

Yes, sir, I already finished like sixteen designs." Do you want to see it now? I can bring them and let you see it." I said to him:

"I don't want to see it now, but you can put it on my desk here before I come. That's it. You can dismiss now." I nod my head and leave the office. I never know why I keep holding my breath until I'm out of that room.

"What's wrong with that face, girl?" Parish asks me when both of us are on our way to having lunch.

Nothing; I'm just stressing out," I reply.

"About Mr. Sanchez?"

Why should I be stressing out about him, though?"

"Who knows. Or maybe your heart is already falling for his charm." He wriggles his eyebrows, and I hit his arm. "Ow! What's that for?"

"Because you're being annoying." We said that and then got to the small cafe. The smell of coffee gets into my nose. I love this atmosphere. Both of us take a seat at the empty table near the corner and then order our food.

I am still in my office because Mr. Sanchez wants to see the design. I have to work overtime to make sure all of it is presentable and suits his taste. I look at my watch, and it is already 9:10 p.m. Oh gosh, it's late. I bet I'm the only person in this company now. Besides security, of course.

I make my way to Joseph's room and put the design on his desk, then walk out. I take my handbag and my phone and look around to see if I may leave my things here again, and when it's nothing, I turn off the light and leave the room. It's so dark because all the lights are already off except the light at the lift.

I get into the lift and press L. Then I hear what sounds like thunder outside. Oh no, not now, please. Okay, relax, Thea; you'll make it before it rains. Relax." I said to myself, and when the door opened, I quickly walked out and walked as fast as I could before it rained.

On my way home, I hear a storm again, and this time I'm really freaking out. Not because it's going to rain, but because I'm actually scared of the sound of thunder. I have bad memories of it, and I don't want to remember it anyway.

Why do I feel it takes so long to arrive home? I practically run when I feel the water already hitting my body. Please don't rain yet. Please!

I don't want to remember it. I don't want to remember it. Suddenly, The tears started coming out of my eyes and rolling down my cheeks. My head feels so heavy all of a sudden, and the rain is getting heavier, and I can't think straight now. I need to cross the road to get to the building. I look around, make sure there's no car, and cross the road, but then I hear a car honk.

I can't see anything because of the rain, and my head is so heavy now. Then I feel my body weak, and the next thing I know, I'm on the road, lying down. I try to wake up, but I can't. The rain is getting heavier, and here I am already drenched and remembering the bad memories that happened in rain like this. "Ms., are you okay?" I heard a man voice but I don't think I can open my eyes to the next thing I saw only a man come to me and then all black.

The next morning.

I woke up with a very bad headache, and I feel like I'm hungover now. Oh gosh, my head I look around and see an unfamiliar room. There's a television in this room, as well as a big window that has a white curtain covering it. The bed is big enough for three people, or maybe four. The room looks so cosy and gorgeous. I can say that the one living here must have good taste. I look at myself and see that I'm wearing a big shirt and also a boxer. Don't say that the man who saved me changed my clothes. Oh no. I get up from the bed to find my clothes, but then the door opens and shows the one and only Joseph Sanchez.

What?

"I see that you're awake. Where are you going? Try to run away?" He said that and sat on the bed, looking at me.

"Why am I here?" I ask even though I already know the answer.

"You should be thankful that I'm the one who saves you when you're unconscious on the road and in the rain." He answers.

"I need my clothes back so that I can go home. Oh! And... Did you the one who changed me?" I ask, but in a low tone, feeling embarrassed about it.

"Yeah, I am, but don't worry, I'm not looking or trying to take any advantage of you. I changed you in the dark, and yeah." In the dark? That means he must... Oh no, no, no, that's not.

"Can I have my clothes back?" I ask again.

Why is it so hard to say thank you for once because if I'm not there, maybe you're still there until now?"

"Thank you, Mr. Sanchez," I said.

"That's what I like. Oh yeah, I also let you sleep on my bed in my room." His room? His house? Did I sleep on his bed? With him? No way...

"Oh-" He just walks past me without letting me finish what I want to say and goes into his walk-in closet, then walks out with my clothes in his hand.

"Whatever. Change and leave." With that, he leaves the room, and I go to the bathroom. I don't even want to take a shower here, so I just undress and put my clothes back on. After I'm done, I walk out and see my handbag on the nightstand. I grab it and then walk out of the room. At first, I am in awe when I see the design of his house. It's so pretty, and he sure has good taste in decorations.

Then I just walk down the stairs and see him sit on the couch with a laptop on his lap. He didn't even glance at me or maybe say something because he was just busy with his laptop. I roll my eyes and press the lift. The lift opens immediately, and I get in.

Why did I need to be saved by him yesterday? Why not anyone else? I walk out of the building and walk home. I guess I'm not going to work today because it's already late. So I decided to just go home and take a rest.
