A Geek and a Nerd

Once he left...

Nova was sitting on her couch when her uncle came home from drive Soul home. He had spoken gently to the boy on the car ride home and tried to be as nice as he could possibly be. When the door open, a harsh mocking tone came out. "Kissy face kissy face! How the hell did you convince a BOY to like YOU? Well, I know he was trying to finger you under the blanket. You can't fucking see him unless your mother is around. You're fucking dead when she gets home." 

The words spat at her we like venom...they burned inside of her just the same. She ran to her room and laid on the mattress that sat in the empty room. Slowly, she cried. She refused to leave the room until she got a phone call. 

When she ran into the living room the grab her phone, she smiled to see it was Soul. Nova wiped away her tears and smiled. Then, she accepted the call. 

N~"H-Hello?"

S~"Hi Nova!" 

Nova could hear the excitement in his voice and she began to forget her sorrow. Neither her uncle or her mother could EVER keep them apart. 

N~"How are you?"

S~"Well...my day just got ten times better."

N~"Why?"

S~"I heard your voice" 

Her world become so much better. Nova had never felt so much love before in her life. She wondered to her room with the phone pressed to her ear. Nova and Soul talked for two hours on the phone and even tried to meet up THAT DAY. When they finally hung up, Nova became depressed once more. 

She never wanted to stop hearing his voice. It was the only thing that could calm her down or make her feel better. He was her sun while she was his moon. While her world was cold, empty, and full of darkness, Soul always made the day brighter. He filled her heart with an unfamiliar, but comforting, warmth that she knew was love. 

He filled her with nothing but pure bliss.
