After Mae left Nova, her best friend who she had loved for years, told her to try to date online again. Nova's very first boyfriend was online, so she knew how it worked. She went onto kik and started answering random messages. She saw one that caught her interest. He messaged her because he saw her name on a dating app, and thought she was cute. So, she ended up holding a conversation with the strange teenager. After several hours, the knew the basics of each other. She was 13, emo, depressed, and needed someone who was unstable like her, but not as unstable. His name was Dylan, he was 17, Captain of the football team, a stoner, and he never met his dad. After one night of talking, he asked her out. They had shared so much the night before, so many personal things, that it only made sense. They were happy for a long time, despite him constantly forgetting her name. He called her "Babe" or "Shortie" whenever he forgot, but she got use to it and tried to think of them more as pet names. She never thought she'd lose Dylan, until the day she lost WiFi.
