Shefali's POV

Today is my wedding but I am not at all excited. What should I do? Why is nobody understanding my emotions? Why can't they understand that I am not ready for this relationship?

My mother entered the room, where I have to wait till Panditji calls me, and told me that my sister-in-law wants to meet me. Wow, I never knew that I have a sister-in-law also. She entered the room and sat near me. "Hello Bhabhi. I am Ayushi Chauhan. I am in class 11th. Sorry  I couldn't come in the engagement as I had gone for my school trip."

"Hi. I am Shefali Singh."

Ayushi keeps on looking at me and finally speaks, "I know Bhabhi. This is very awkward. Getting married to someone you have never met. I won't say that my brother is very good and caring. But I promise that I will always be with you. Even if it means going against my brother."

I looked at her shocked. She was ready to go against her brother. Just for me. She hugged me and left. Soon I was called in the mandap.

The priest was chanting the mantras.  My husband tied mangalsutra around my neck and filled my partition with sindoor. The priest ordered us to stand up for the saptpadi.

Soon the marriage was complete. I was officially his wife.

Now, it was time for bidai. Tears were flowing down from my eyes but my parents offered me no comfort. They just hugged me out of formality and started taking me to the car. It hurt to see your parents pushing you away from them. Finally, Ayushi came and pulled me in a embrace, patting my back.

I sat in the car with Ayushi on one side and my husband on the other side. Soon, we reached the Chauhan house.

I was asked by my mother-in-law to give a slight push to a Kalash. Then I had to dip my hands in red coloured water and leave my hand's impression on the wall. After completing all the rituals, Ayushi took me to her room. We spent the entire day together but she avoided talking about her brother, knowing my reluctance about that topic.

At night(Ashutosh's room)

Ayushi helped me get ready and made me sit on the bed where I have to wait for my husband.

I sat on his bed wearing the bridal lehenga. My heartbeat was increasing. My palms were sweating. Waiting for him to arrive. Him. Somebody I donot know. My husband. My parents married me off to him to get rid of their burden. And now I am waiting for him.

He entered. He walked slowly towards the bed and sat on it. And then he said, "If you have to live with me, you will have to follow my rules."

Wow...earlier I followed the rules of my parents and now my husband.
