there's this one part
of something that could
become a relationship
between two people.

maybe it's referred to as
the awkward phase;
that stage where both of you
confess your feelings
for each other.

that's the easiest part.
what comes after that?
a relationship straight away?
no.
what comes next
is the awkward phase.

that moment when
silence overcomes
both of you.
when suddenly
you have no more to say;
those three words you have
just said
have said it all.

however,
the awkward phase
should not be feared.
though hard to defeat,
what comes after that
is simply joyous.

and hopefully,
just maybe,
it'll turn
into something beautiful.
