your dark veil hides your secrets;
like a black curtain,
it flows over your shoulders
and ends at your waist.

you can only imagine
how longingly i've been waiting
to run my calloused fingers
through your silky waves.

as dark as midnight,
shimmering in the moonlight,
your dark veil enhances
those devilish features
that anyone will fall for.

your dark veil
makes me want to hold you,
and brush your problems away
with the sweep of my hand
through your voluminous mane.

the hips and curves
every book and cranny
that i want to be mine
stand before me
as you run your fingers
through your dark veil.

your dark veil hides you well
from insecurity
and vulnerability.
but you are not safe from danger;
physically and emotionally.
so let me be there;
physically and emotionally.

you are all i need;
and all i've ever wanted,
you and your dark veil.
