Delilah{Luke Hemmings}

-Chapter 2-

The week went by fast. It mostly consists of Mar insulting me, Toby sticking up for me, and Luke trying to annoy the hell out of me.

I sigh as I slam my locker closed.

"Hey Delilah right?" Lauren the popular girl asks.

I look around confused.

"Wait your talking to me?" I ask raising an eyebrow.

"Of course silly! We are having a party tonight at my house, everyone is coming you should definitely come!"

Why is she suddenly being so nice to me? She never noticed my existence before..

"Um yeah sure I might stop by."

"Great! Btw it's formal clothing so dresses will do, see you there!" Lauren gives me a fake smile. She flips her blonde hair and walks away clinking her heels as she walks.

She must have been struggling to be nice to me I could see right behind her fake smile and 'kind' eyes. Maybe she wants to murder me, nah she wouldn't murder me in front of all those people.. I don't know but whatever it is it's something evil, that's how her mind works.

"Hey Delilah!"

Crap walk faster! Walk faster!

"Wait up"

Don't turn around. Don't turn around.

"Are you avoiding me?" Luke asks once he catches up with me.

"Umm- haha no what- why would I do that..?"

"Your a terrible lier love"

"Don't call me that."

"Why not LOVE?"

"Because I said so."

"Why are you so mean to me?" Luke asks setting his lips in a pout.

"Because we are not 'friends' so why does it matter?"

"We can be friends.."

"And why would I want to do that?"

"Because you love me."

"You wish"

This is how he has been acting, all week to me. It's starting to creep me out.. Because I actually kinda like it. So I have been blocking out my feelings and being as harsh as possible. But it does not seem to be working..

"Soo love are you going to Lauren's party?"

I glare at him.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I said so"

"But I'm going..."

"I don't care"

"Ya you do"

"Na uh"

"Yeah love"

"Shut up"

Luke chuckles, "I like it how you are playing hard to get."

"I'm not playing anything," I respond crossing my arms like a child.

"Your stubborn," Luke says he pauses for a minute.

"I like a challenge. I'm not gonna give up until you open up to me, it might be a week, or a month, or a year.. But you will open up to me I'm not gonna give up."

And that is when my fear came floating back in. I don't open up that's the thing. Not back then, not now. My secrets can't be shared. They are to deep to dangerous.
