The Incident pt2

Shayne's POV
I was talking to Damien when Courtney pulled me aside
Courtney-I don't feel good
I looked at her and she didn't look good either
So I took a hold of her a brought her outside to get some air
I set her down while still holding here
She was breathing heavily
Shayne-Courtney?
No answer
Shayne-Courtney?
No answer
Shayne-Courtney?! I'm not messing around!
No answer
Shayne-Courtney!!!
I quickly reach for my phone and call an ambulance
It's a good thing our school sits close to a hospital
They quickly come and I'm carrying her bridal style and they take her and enter the truck
I enter as well
The 5 minutes were the most painful
Shayne-How is she?!
Guy-She's not well
I say nothing and just stare at her hoping she starts to wake up
We get to the hospital and she enters a room
They don't allow me in
And I was so scared
I didn't want to lose her
Not tonight
Not ever
After what seemed like and hour,they let me in to see her
Shayne-Is she ok
Guy-She's in a bit of a coma somewhat
Shayne-What caused it
Guy-We're not entirely sure
I nod
Shayne-Can I have a moment with her?
He nods and leaves the room along with everyone else
I look at Courtney and stare at her
Today was our night
I had so much fun with her and I wanted to continue this
I hold her hand feeling a soft slow pulse
I rub circles on her hand
Shayne-Done leave me Courtney,not now,not ever
I stay there for an hour just holding her hand and constantly hoping for her to wake up and be okay
Shayne-You know,I was really enjoying this night. I hoped you enjoyed it as much as I did. After the dance I was gonna give you a promise ring. It was a promise saying that when we're older,that I'm going to marry you. And now it's not gonna be a "if" it's gonna happen because I know you won't leave me. Right? Courtney,if you can hear me,I wanna let you know,that I love you to the bottom of my heart and more. Don't forget it
I stay with her overnight
Still holding her hand the next morning
I examine her laying down
Even if she's in a bad state
She looks calm and beautiful
I noticed I have 5 missed calls from my mom
3 from Damien
I called Courtney's Mom and Kari,but they were out of town and the planes weren't gonna board
I decide to ignore the rest and tell them when I feel better about the situation
God I hope you get better soon Courtney

Courtney's POV
Darkness
Is all I see
I feel myself breathing and I can feel Shayne's hand on mine
I can hear him talking and crying
And I feel heavy
I can feel the doctors insert something in my arm
I can't see anything
I try and open the but I can't
I start to feel something
His hand leaves mine
It's getting hard to breath
My body gets heavier
And now I can't feel anything
I start to stop breathing and......

Shayne's POV
I decided to stay with Courtney for another hour
And after call everyone else
But for now
I want to be with her alone
I need to go the bathroom so I quickly get up and head out
After about 3 minutes I'm out and ready to get back in there
When I enter the room I see multiple nurses and doctors near Courtney
Shayne-Hey! What's going on?!
Doctor-Get out! You can't be here!
Shayne-I wanna know what's going on! She's my girlfriend,I have the right to know!
I get pushed back by a bunch of nurses
They leave me outside the room
I stay out there hoping that whatever is going on is that they're waking her up
I see a bunch of them head out
I go towards one of the doctors
Shayne-Hey! What's going on in there?!
Doctor-You said she's you girlfriend?
Shayne-Yeah
Doctor-I'm sorry Mr.Topp,but your girlfriend's dead
