I lifted my leg over my head then brought it slowly back down. His hand slowly met my waist as he spun me around. Light graced us with the dying sun on the horizon as our silhouettes moved in harmony.

"Lower." He growled as I leaned back.

"My back doesn't bend back that far!" I barked back.

He sighed softly, pulling me back up into a graceful twirl. He flipped me upside down and his hands held my waist as he hoisted me up into the air. I raised my arms and legs like I was flying.

Ever so slowly I was lowered to my feet and we finished as black came over the beach. "Good practice." He smiled.

"Yeah. Now just gotta do the same for the show." I smile back.

"Yea, all of this is just for show, right?" He asks, putting a hand cautiously on my cheek.

I felt a salty tear slide, "Right."

His mouth comes to my ear, "I love you. And I'll always love you.  But I can't be with you. Your too young for a person like me. This is all for show. All of it."

I grit my teeth, fire roaring through every muscle. "Right."

"Savvy?"

"RIGHT!" I yelled, pushing away from him. "RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT! SEE YOU TOMORROW CHAMP."

I awkwardly scuttled off, tear drops raining down my face.
