The incident with strange man left Rupert on edge. He didn't like that you were in secret contact with a man who caused you such stress. Throughout the times, if you were upset with anything, he would have it removed. If a person made you angry or upset, they disappeared. 

Rupert cared a great deal for his son and you. He loved how his son was much like you. But that love turned into jealousy. When the boy was around five, an "accident" occurred, killing the child. You were devastated. Rupert comforted you. You eventually stopped mourning for your child but wanted to raise another as you needed an heir.

Rupert didn't really care about who was going to succeed him and didn't like how you wanted to have another child. The thought having you love someone else upsetted him. Every time you were pregnant, you always wound up miscarrying. You were depressed for a while but Rupert always managed to light up your spirits. 

The years rolled by. You never did have a child again. You were never aware that Rupert was the reason for it. You lived with Rupert peacefully unaware of what he has done.
