3rd Person
Han Tae-Young walks down the path to the University dorms. It is a fresh, crisp September morning; the birds are singing and everything seems perfect. Han makes her way to her designated dorm, application form in hand and a suitcase full to the brim. This is a strange new experience for Han because she has arrived from South Korea a year ago. She is a natural at being bilingual and can speak fluent English.
She never wants to go back to South Korea because things are best kept in the past. She moved to Wales with high hopes of starting a new life. Han stops walking for a moment, will Wales give her a new chance or will her life crash down again?
The young woman shudders at past memories and begins to walk again. After a few minutes, Han arrives at her designated dorm. She hesitantly knocks on the door, waiting for an answer.
Meanwhile
Raschelle Abram drags her suitcase onto her bed and flops onto the mattress. She glances at her watch worrying, what time will it all happen? She becomes deep in thought as she unpacks. She idly tosses her clothes into the wardrobe, throw her books onto the desk and kicks her suitcase under her bed.
It has taken her 15 minutes to unpack because what was the point of carrying lots if you knew you were going to move again? Raschelle sighs and walks to the kitchen. She boils the kettle and goes to grab her application form. She reads her form over and over again whilst pacing back and forth.
She barely hears a quiet knock on her front door.
Han stands there shaking with nerves. Did the person inside hear her knock? Should she do it again? How should she greet the person? Too many questions and no answers.
The door opens slightly as a young woman peeks out. The young woman asks calmly "Are you h-her?" Han stands there and slowly nods her head, the woman inside opens the door wider to allow Han to walk in.
Han is amazed, the dorm is so spacious! An open-plan kitchen and dining room with a huge living room. She twirls around in excitement.
