The words you say to me
Might not be as hurtful
But the way you do
Feels like a blade
Shot in my chest
Gave you chances
Again and again
Hoping you might change
But you be nice just for a while
And then go back to your bitter self
Pushed myself
Into thinking
That it was me
Who wronged you
Maybe I didn't do it right
Maybe I shouldn't have done that
And everything would have been perfect
Maybe it wasn't enough
Maybe I should have tried harder
And it would have been better
Maybe..
Or maybe I was right
To stand against you
Maybe I was right
To be who I am
Maybe I was right
To push against the flow
Maybe I was right
To let you go
