"Yes I can totally do that!"

"Thanks." He muttered distractedly.

Looks like he had stuff on his mind, stressful stuff by the looks of it. Weird. He seemed familiar to me...

"Well since you forgot your membership card I'll check you out manu-. Ah, crap. Sorry! I honestly meant to say 'in' I swear! I mean I don't mean you're not good looking; you are, I just-"

My gosh my face was beetroot red; dammit I was just digging myself a bigger hole.

"It's fine." He laughed.

Oh well, at least he looked less stressed; his fists weren't clenched and his shoulders seemed less tense. Plus his laugh was damn hot. And the way his eyes sparkled...

"Oh erm.. yeah, thanks; you're free to use the gym now; just try not to forget your card next time. Have a nice day!"

"Yeah, you too."

"Sof, it's time for plan B."

"Gosh I never thought it would come to this." I groaned into my hands.

"At least we have a plan B."

"Yeah I guess."

"Mhmm. Lets go get this over and done with; come on I just got a text from Darren."

It was 11 pm and we were walking around the campus, sticking flyers on notice boards, the girls bathrooms and even trees. I needed a renter. Urgently. It had been two days since mum called and I knew she wanted some good news very, very soon or who knows? I wouldn't put it past her to 'haul my ass outta my apartment.'

The flyers contained Lia's name as well as mine with our email addresses and mobile numbers. We had the rent stated ($310) and the basic apartment info such as the rooms and features as well as the building address. We didn't say what number apartment or include any interior pictures since I valued my privacy after all. That's also why we were at the uni at such an ungodly hour. Oh and of course we stated that were only excepting a female student, I'm sure the guys would understand why; they're not THAT dumb believe it or not.

Two and a half hours later Darren dropped us back at the apartment, 251 (one for 'good luck' according to Lia.') flyers out of our hands. Finally. Done. And dusted.

'Let the waiting game begin.'

That was my final thought before Lia and I continued our girls night; possibly one of the last ones in our childhood-dream-apartment.
