"Mahiru's dead."

"Remember that. Even if she's the one in your sword."

I ignored him.

"Oh my God." Y/N suddenly jolted awake, and mine and Shinya's attention automatically turned to her.

"Hey, are you ok?" I asked, looking at her in concern,

"Yeah. I'm fine." She said rubbing her eyes, "Hey, Shinya. Can I have a new shirt?"

"Sure." He sighed, "I'll get you some clothes for the night." He left the office and closed the door behind him.

"Y/N."

"Hm?" She looked up at me,

"What were you dreaming about?"

"Nothing special." She looked down,

"You seemed scared."

"It was just a more terrifying version of what happened today." She shrugged,

"Don't worry too much about Kureto, Shinya and I will do our best and deal with him." I looked at Shinya's desk, too shy to make that comment while making eye contact.

"I don't want to be protected all the time, Guren. Besides, why can't we just castrate him?" She huffed,

I sniggered, "I wish."

"Ugh. Doesn't this guy have women throwing themselves at him anyway? Why must he come for me?" She continued to whine in irritation,

"Y/N, I'm sorry about earlier. I wasn't lying though." I said scratching the back of my head,

"Huh?"

"The thing about your dad and Kureto..."

"It's true though, why are you apologising?"

"You were upset about it, so-."

She sighed, "It's fine."

I rolled my eyes, "You have training with Shinya tomorrow?"

"Yeah, I do. But since he's going to the meeting, what do I do afterwards?"

I thought for a while, "Just come to my office." I finally said,

"What if Kureto-"

"I dare him to try." I cut her off, before sighing, "You're right, I'll ask Sayuri or Mito. That's probably the safest option."

She hummed in agreement before snuggling back into my chest, I cleared my throat quite taken aback before I raised an eyebrow and looked at her,

"Erm, what are you doing?"

She just smiled and grabbed my arms placing them around her waist.

"I want to sleep." She said closing her eyes,

"Shinya's going to be back soon." I let out a cough as an attempt to cover up how flustered I was,

"Then wake me up when he's back." She murmured,

At that moment Shinya walked through the door.

"He's back." I said nonchalantly,

"Eh? Why? Where you two planning something?" He teased, suggestively.

"Not you too, Shinya. There's already Shinoa being annoyingly persistent." Y/N sighed,

"Can you blame us?" He shrugged, handing her the shirt,

"Yes." We both deadpanned at the same time.

"Aw, you're in sync too!" He swooned,

"You're a lost cause." I eyed him,
