A Day out in Sydney

Danny POV

We woke up early before her parents wake up and packed all our belongings so we can leave. I hate seeing Sandy in so much pain. I hope in time things with her parents will work out. "You got everything, love" I asked. "Yeah" she responded looking down. As we were about to leave the house we saw Sandy's mother. "I'm sorry how your father acted yesterday" she said. "Thanks mom" responded Sandy. Her mum gave Sandy a hug and said "Good luck with the baby and the wedding. I'll see if I can talk some sense in my husband and come to your wedding and be there for you when you have your baby". Sandy and I left and went back to the rental car. 

"What do you want to do" I asked. "I don't know. Go home. This isn't my home anymore" she said. I just can't help feeling bad for my girlfriend I love her so much and I want to do whatever it takes to make her happy again. I have decided to stop at a Hotel near by and get a room. "What are we going" Sandy asked. "You will see" I said. We gotten a room and put our stuff down. Then we left the Hotel. I took her to the Harbour. I wasn't sure what places she have already seen when she spend her time in Sydney but at least we will do something here. When we got to the Harbour Sandy's eyes open wide in amazed meant. "What are we doing here" she asked. "We are going to take a ferry" I responded. "The last time I took one with my parents was when I was little and I loved it" she said. "Well now we are going to take it together. Sandy smiled a little. 

We got on the Ferry and left land. 

"It's beautiful, thank you Danny" Sandy said giving me a kiss. When we landed back to the Harbour it was noon time. We got off the ferry and went back to the car. We went out for lunch and I plan where I want to take my girl next. I just thought while we are here at least make the most out of it. After we finished eating Sandy asked "Where to next?" I said "Will see." We left the restaurant and went to Bondi to Congree Beach Coastal walk. "I just thought you would like a long walk" I said. "That would be nice" Sandy said with a smile on her face. We got out of the car and started walking on the trails. 

While we walk, we hold hands and talk. "I wish my dad would support us and our baby" she said. "I know babe. I believe he will come around. At least we have your mum on our side" I reassure her.  "I hope so" said Sandy feeling sad still about this whole thing. I decided to change the subject and just talk about our baby. "So I know you wanted our baby to be born here but because of your parents I don't think that is what you want anymore" I said. "No it isn't. I prefer being back home in America to have the baby besides we still need to tell them the news" Sandy said. "I already did actually. When you were sleeping I used your parents phone and called our friends. They are really happy for both the baby and our engagement. We stop in the middle of walking and Sandy turn around. I can see there were tears in her eyes. I wiped them with my thumbs while I hold her face. "I love you so much" Sandy responded. "It means a lot you are trying to cheer me up taking me to these places." We kissed. "Anything for you" I said. We continued walking until we reached the end of the trail and walked back. It was good just going on a long walk and talking. I love her so much and I will do anything to make her happy and loved and I do believe I will be a good father to our baby when it's born. It is exciting but at the same time I am nervous because I don't want to mess anything up. I know Sandy will be a great mother and wife. 

When we got back to the car Sandy asked "Where to now?" I took her to the Sydney Opera House. "This is beautiful" she said feeling speechless. "I never been here before." "Well now we are" I responded with a smirk on my face. We got in and watched a performance. 

After the performance Sandy said "I don't know which one I liked more. The opera house in Paris or the opera house here." "Yeah me either" I said. It is now late out so we went out for dinner and then back to the Hotel. "Thanks for a fun day Danny" she said as she kissed my cheek. I'm glad I could make her feel so happy. We both climb into bed together and I held her as we sleep.
