Resolving Mistakes

Start from the beginning

"Jus - say - it - somethi - seriou - bad and - just - he's - str - sorry" that's all I could make out. But if it was what I heard, something bad has happened.
"Ethan, what happened? " I asked, my voice feeling a bit strained from holding down the urge to cry.

He was going to answer, but another voice cut in, in the background. Mark's voice. Sounding tired and struggling.
"Don't, she's - upset enou - it's bad - hates me - please - don't try - stop"

After hearing that, I went into somewhat of a frenzy. I hastily hung up the phone and grabbed my keys, rushing out and driving off.

Mark POV

"Soo, what now? I'm done with this game for a while " Ethan said, stretching out on the couch, almost sliding off the edge before scooting back up. He was right, I don't think I'm gonna be playing this game for a long time, we've been at this for about three hours. Mostly spent on that damn bridge level.

"I don't know, we could play something else" Tyler suggested.
"Nah, my butt is sore from sitting" Ethan said shaking his head and standing, rubbing his ass.

I've lost track of how long they've actually been here. I know it wasn't three hours, that's just how long we played. We were supposed to record a video but when they came over, immediately Tyler picked up that something was wrong. And no matter how much I tried to sent it, I couldn't. They knew something was up, I just didn't tell them what.

So they've been trying to get me in a good mood. Truth is, I haven't been in a good mood for a while, since y/n been the way she's being right now. I don't know what I did for her to be like this. She wouldn't even talk to me, all I want is to be there for her.

"Ooo, let's prank call Jack" Ethan beamed.
"Are you ten? " Tyler looked at him sideways but still chuckled.
"I might be" he laughed. He took my phone off the coffee table and began scrolling through it.
"Jack's really busy these days, best don't bother him" I said softly but I know they heard.

He still continued scrolling.
"Ooo, who's this? She's gorgeous. Is this that fan? " he held up my phone for me to see the contact. Sure enough, it was y/n. I remember that day, we were supposed to hang put and was gonna go to the park, but the rain came pouring down as soon as we stepped out.
We rushed back in her apartment and we dried off to the best of our ability  obviously she changed and loosened her h/l h/c hair, letting the stuck together strands fall around her face. She was cross legged on the couch, picking sprinkles off a cupcake, unsuspecting of the picture I took.

A small smile crept up on my face as I remembered her that day. So beautiful, so sweet, so caring. I don't know what I did. Maybe I asked too much about her past, maybe I reminded her of it too much. I don't know. All I know is that I want it to got back to that day. So simple.

"So, you like her" Tyler said with a smug grin.
"What, why would you say that? " I blurted out, way too fast.
They both grinned at me.
"He's right Tyler, he doesn't like her" Ethan's smile was wide.

Don't say it, don't say it.

"He loves her" well, he didn't say it, he sung it.
"Guys don't seriously" I warned but they disregarded me.
"Oh, we're definitely calling her now" Ethan giggled as Tyler held me down as to stop me from stopping them.
I was going to blurt out that she hates me, but he was already calling her number.

A thought crossed my mind just as I was about to say it as well.

She won't even answer, so why bother.

I was wrong though, she did answer. I felt my heart do back flips as I heard Ethan say her name. I could barely hear her reaction over the phone of hearing him on the other end.
