There are many different people from all over the world who like going barefoot. Some people like doing it as a hobby. On the other hand, other people who go barefoot as a tradition or as a part of their culture. Apparently, there are many who like going barefoot are unable to share their stories. So, this will be a long interviewing series while talking to people who are from all over and let them speak about their barefooting. So, welcome the newest barefoot interviewee, Casper K. He is (currently) a 39-year-old Amazon Fulfillment Center associate; he was born in Hong Kong and resides in Fontana, California. Here is what he had to say about being barefoot.

What inspired you to go barefoot?

During my young ages with all the village's children were either barefoot or naked, after first I always with footwear due to parents always make sure I put on footwear before leaving home. One day this young girl who was older than me and told me to climb the slide with her but I couldn't as the footwear gets slippery on the slide, so she told me just take them off, and told me that it's more fun to play barefoot here. Since then, I would have footwear on but after away from home they would take them off and hide them in the bushes and run around town with all those kids barefoot and sometimes even nude.

What are some of the reasons you like going barefoot?

Now I'm grown up and being forced to using footwear for a long time, my feet and back would get pain but when I don't wear footwear pain are gone.

Name some places you like going barefoot (besides at home and the beach).

Ontario Mill, malls, parks, and around the neighborhood.

Where would you like to try and go barefoot that you haven't done so?

Going barefoot hiking in the wood and up in the mountain and snow.

Why do you think people should go barefoot in public more often beside at home and the beach?

Because being barefoot more often had strengthened my lower body and reduce pain for me. Also my arch no longer flat after a recent year of being more barefoot.

Give us a story of a time you went barefoot and had a lot of fun doing it.

This would be back to my childhood in the village back in Hong Kong when I play with those kids at the playground, by the seashore, and around town.

Why do you think some stores and businesses have "banned" going barefoot?

They worry people get hurt and trying to sue them since many American would sue for businesses for anything. Just like someone sue for herself being burn by hot coffee as she spilled on herself and the judge granted her as it was the business's fault. It is the justice system caused many businesses and stores having all kind of policies to try to protect themselves nowadays.

If possible, please share any of your barefooting experiences.

Since I read more benefits on the web about being barefoot and I tried myself, even just a few times a week and the benefits on myself are very noticeable. Like my feet wouldn't hurt as much as used to, the arch isn't flat like used to be, also lower back pain isn't there anymore.

Since going barefoot is healthy, why do you think people deny it?

Due to media and cultural brainwashed people seeing the negative side of being barefoot were mainly associated with prisons, slaves, and poor people. Like other cultures still wouldn't accept tattoos since many are associated with gangs, prisoners with those cultures.

Finish this analogy: Someone who does not want to go barefoot is like...

Someone doesn't believe that eating healthy is the key to a healthier lifestyle.

What would you say to someone who thinks going barefoot (in public) is gross?

Simply ask them when was the last time they wash the sole of their footwear? Chances are hardly ever or when he/she last stepped into poop, which my soles get washed daily.

Conclusion.

I do thank Casper K. for taking the time and answering these questions and as well as supporting that going barefoot is actually a good and healthy thing.
