The death of Lucy Vanderbilt was in no way natural.
In the sleepy town of Nightdale Falls, nothing bad ever happens to anyone. Yet here lies the poor red-haired girl beloved by everyone with needles down her throat and her eyes missing. Nothing bad ever happens to anyone yet a girl is dead and the police have no leads.

"Detective please tell me you got something from the crime scene."

A grieving mother stood before the best detective in the county, which wasn't saying much.

"I'm sorry Mrs.Vanderbilt but unless we can find a witness the investigation is cold."

Johnathan Deens was just promoted to the rank of detective in March and it's still March. His blue tie was crooked against his wrinkled shirt and a very apparent lipstick stain was a blemish on the starched collar. Now Johnathan Deens was a diamond in the rough, well, very rough rough. His wife didnt know about Martha Smith but I'm sure Detective Deens is very familiar with her.

Behind the frosted pane glass a woman watched as the crime scene buzzed with activity. Saline DuMort was the local spell caster and potions brewer. In her small store of herbs and white magic there was a door. And in that door there was a Coven.
