And I waved them goodbye.
This time for real.
I waved them all goodbye.
Maybe for good.
But I had to.
Slowly I felt myself
Take a turn,
Down our memory lane.
I took some time,
To let myself drown,
In the ocean of
Our memories,
Our gleeful moments.
And I dug, and dug,
And dug,
Until I found sorrow within,
Within each core memory.
Soon my vision blurred
And my eyes leaked tears,
Tears of happiness maybe
Just maybe.
And I let them drown me in regrets
Though not happily
But willingly.

Goodbyes are a part of life. Use them wisely.
*******Just in case I remember the exact date on which I wrote a particular poem, then I'll mention it. Not every poem will have a date though.
