That question remains unanswered. It was out of the blue but it led me to this comforting place so I want to know.

To cut it short, he was kind of dating Yerin and thought they're gonna be official. But then Yerin's guy best friend admitted that he too has feelings for her and Yerin have liked him ever since and thought it was only one-side so she gave Yugyeom a chance. Does that make sense? Anyway, Yerin got confused since she really likes the other guy. In the end, she told Yugyeom "I like you but I love him."

Wait, they still talk? Isn't that awkward for the two of them? If I'm Yerin, I would feel awkward to talk to the guy I've hurt. But I'm not her and maybe they have a really good friendship that's why they decided to keep it. IDK.
