Chapter 40

It's a beautiful day in LA so it was a shame I was stuck at work. I was wondering what Keisha would say to me when I get home. She probably thought I was doing something else at Sawyer's. I laughed to myself. I wonder what Sawyer was doing by the time work had ended, maybe we could hang out again. Last night was fun.

"Hello earth to Talia, you have a customer" one of the other employees said noticing I was just staring out of of the window.

"Sorry, I was in a world of my own then" I said apologetically to the customer.

Once I got out of work I decided that I'd just go home and explain to Keisha why I stayed at Sawyers all night.

I opened my car door and stepped inside. I drove home. That beautiful sun had turned into a sunset.

I walked down the path to Keisha's door then opened it. Keisha was sat on the sofa.

"Aren't you supposed to be at work?" I asked

"You were supposed to be home but you didn't do that and I got let out early" she answered

"Look, I'm sorry that I didn't say anything about staying at Sawyers for the full night but I couldn't help that I fell asleep before I could tell you and I know what you're thinking - don't worry all we did was watch netflix" I explained

"I accept you're apology but are you sure you didn't do anything" she raised an eyebrow

I playfully punched her and said "Of course not"

"I know I was just playing all a long, I'm not you're mom, I don't care what happened" she admitted

"You're not funny" I said bluntly but sarcastically "Anyway I'm hungry"

I walked over to the kitchen and made myself some dinner then say down on the sofa with Keisha.

"So are you and Sawyer back together?" she asked

"Yes, why?" I said between chewing my food

"I'm just curious" she replied

"I thought you didn't care" I said impersonating her

She rolled her eyes. "So when are you moving out" she joked

I nearly choked on my food. "You're still not funny" I shook my head. As soon as I said that I got a text off Sawyer asking if I wanted to go out tomorrow.

"Good timing" Keisha said

"I know" I replied, trying to reply to the text at the same time.

I said to Sawyer that I could go out on the weekend because I have work any other day.

I told Keisha

"Don't stay out all night this time" she said sarcastically.
