I gripped him tighter, “We'll figure something out.” I whispered. I was determined to; I couldn't lose them both again. Those dreams....they were telling the truth; I had to believe so.

Donny opened the door almost grudgingly. I sat between them on the couch; it felt odd to be in this situation surrounded by balloons and a happy birthday banner.

Donny pulled out a chair from the kitchen and sat in front of me, looking almost disappointed.

“Explain yourself, Julia.” At least he was giving me a chance. That's all I asked.

“Well, they didn't trick me. I know that you said they can control people with their touch, or whatever, but when Jonathan told me this, I knew Loup wasn't convincing me of anything.” I looked at Loup.

“Anyway, uh, Jonathan had been visiting, and Loup was making me forget, but he only did that to protect Jonathan! In the end, Jonathan and Loup were trying to protect me, that's all!” I tried my best at explaining but they all looked lost.

Jonathan to my surprise cut in. “It's true. I didn't trust Loup's intension's toward Julia, but in the end he saved her.” I looked at him curiously.

In the end? Those dreams, they were real. I was actually talking to them, wasn't I?

I took a deep breath, “Donny, Loup told a very powerful wolf about me. Well, not necessarily about me, about the Old Blood, that he thought he found some. He didn't know at the time that it was me he was talking about. He told Demetrio, when he realized it was me, that he made a mistake. I swear, he did.” I pleaded with my eyes.

“When Kyle and I left Demetrio went after Loup and his clan because he knew that Loup was lying, or at least he thinks so. They fought and Loup and Jonathan were captured. Loup, he didn't say anything about me, and Jonathan doesn't even know what a Guardian is.”

Loup stared at me, “How do you know?” he words fell so did his eyes as he realized, “The dreams.”

“Wait.” Jonathan said, “Those dreams were real, and you had them too?” He demanded of Loup.

Loup nodded, “I thought they were dreams.” He shrugged.

Donny looked at them suspiciously, “Dreams, Julia?”

I nodded, “I guess along with destroying things I can connect to people in my dreams, talk to them. They didn't tell me everything, but they told me enough to convince me of their innocence.” I tried to reassure.

Donny looked to Rosa who was cowering in the back, “Rosa, confirm their story.”

Before I could object Jonathan took my words, “Whoa, isn't there a better way? A less painful way?” Jonathan asked.

Rosa rolled her eyes, but softened when she looked at me.

“How do you know about Rosa's power?” Donny demanded.

Jonathan stared at Rosa with loathing, but talked to me. “Remember I told you about that girl that was like you and what she did to me?”

It came quickly, “Yeah.” I looked at Rosa in disbelief, “Rosa, was that you?”

Rosa crossed her arms, “He was there when I was watching a werewolf close to Kyle and Julia. I thought he was a threat.” She tried to explain.

“Why did you tell him to stay away from me?” I demanded.

Jonathan grabbed my hand, “She didn't know, she thought I was a threat.” he glared.

I shook my head, “No, you don't know how her power works. She doesn't go through certain memories, she knows your entire life in an instant.” I stood up, clenching my hands. “You knew, didn't you?”
