Three: Crashed and Open

She sat on the railing with one leg dangling, her red heels hanging a little off her foot. She wore a red strapless dress that clung to her body like a glove. She was so beautiful, I panted. I put my clothes on the ground and shifted back.

I changed while watching her stare into the sky. I wasn't sure what I was going to do, not entirely. I was about to step into the moonlight, reveal myself to her, but someone grabbed me and pulled me back.

I fell on my back and snarled up at the figure. I got up quickly.

Loup glared with anger and something else. “I thought that there was someone here that you knew, but I never thought it was her. You're an idiot that never listens!” He groaned.

“I had to -”

“No, Jonathan, not again.” He said as if it were final.

I looked up at Julia and was surprised. Her expression changed, as if she sensed something because she couldn't possible hear us since we were whispering. It's as if a power came over her. Her eyes became wide and moved down to where Loup and I were standing. It seemed as if she was staring directly at us.

I looked at him, and he was looking at her as well with shocked eyes.

“Let's get out of here, now, Jonathan.” He pulled at my arm with grim eyes.

“Jonathan? Loup?”

We both stopped and looked back at Julia. “She couldn't have, right?” I asked, getting out of Loup's harsh grip.

“She did.” He said softly. He went to grab me but I was already walking to her. He caught up with me and tugged on my arm. “Jonathan, please, don't do this.”

“I have to.” I violently loosened my arm from his grip.

Julia was on the vines that climbed on the wall of the house. She slid down in her short dress and landed, breaking her heels. She groaned and took them off, throwing them to the balcony and surprisingly made it.

“I know your there, or at least I think your there.” She said scanning the woods.

“Julia.” I called and looked to Loup who was watching with blank eyes.

Tears came to her eyes, “Jonathan? You're here? What about Loup?” she whispered, walking closer to me.

I grabbed her hand and pulled her closer. She ran into me and immediately backed away and looked to Loup.

“You, the both of you shouldn't be here.” Her eyes were frantic.

“I tried to tell him.” Loup crossed his arms.

I rolled my eyes, “I had to see you, Julia.” I said smiling. I reached into my jeans and pulled out her charm bracelet that she snatched out of my hands.

“Jonathan, Loup, you have to get away from here. It's not safe for you two.” She said, her voice went by so fast.

“Not safe? Are you in trouble?” I asked looking at the house with narrowed eyes.

“No, she's not, Jonathan. She's safe here, completely safe.” Loup said with some type of odd understanding.

“How do you know?” I demanded.

Loup looked at Julia quickly with curious eyes, “I know, because I know her kind.”

I looked at the both of them, “What is going on with the both of you? And what do you mean her kind? Human?”

Julia grabbed my wrist, “Jonathan, I'm with my Uncle; I'm safe.” She opened my palm and placed her bracelet in my hands. “Let Loup,” she looked at him with narrowed eyes. “explain what's going on.”
