CHAPTER 3
CRYSTAL'S POV
“Fine” kevin said.
That's when I felt the stinging pain in my wrists and a sharp pain in the back of my head. When kevin punched lucas and knocked him to the ground, I went down with him and nothing caught me. I was laying on the ground filled with pain when I heard yelling and the crack of what I think was lucas' nose. I tried to get up but everything started going black after that. Just as I was between consciousness and unconsciousness I felt someone pick me up and carry me away from the scene, I tensed thinking it was lucas, but then I heard Joe's voice and I relaxed... a little.
“It's ok, relax” joe said with obvious concern and worry in his voice even though he tried to hide it.
He laid me down in the grass under a big oak that had many different beautiful shades of orange.
Then I heard him yelling at kevin and lucas to stop as he tried to pull kevin off of lucas but it was no use.
