Chapter 18 - Haizaki

"It was a Saturday morning during that time and work was piling up. I received a document that was supposed to be sent towards Kuroko's office, so I decided to take a break and just give it to him. What I saw afterwards was something that I wanted to erase from my mind.

There, inside Kuroko's office, was him bleeding on the floor but conscious and Haizaki laughing with Kuroko's brother in his arms, cold and dead. I was about to lash out and attack him, when Kuroko began to giggle, creepily.

'No more... stop... STOP!!!' the blunette tried to scream, anything to let Haizaki stop him from pulling the trigger.

"Nii-chan!" the boy cried, as he struggled against Haizaki's strong grasp.

Haizaki's gruesome laugh was now resonating around the room.

"It really is sad to say this but, playtime's over!"

A gunshot was then heard, and his body was still too paralyzed to move.

It all happened too fast. There stood Haizaki, just at hands reach, with his brother now limped in his arms.

'He's dead...' the thought circled around his mind, too broken to even think of something.

'Dead?' he asks back. He looked at his brother, and saw blood dripping down his face, his neck, and on the floor.

'Is it because of me? Was I too weak to even save him?'

'What do you think?'

Yes, thinking back, he could have easily handled this situation if he wasn't just a kind hearted person. It was his fault... It was ALL his fault!

'Do you want more power?' a voice then asks, and Kuroko can feel himself sinking into the cold darkness.

'Power?'

'The power to stop guys like him, to be able to kill without hesitation, much faster, much stronger'

'Yes...'

'Then would you let me help you?'

The tealette hummed in agreement, already losing his control over his thoughts.

'Who are you?' he asks.

He heard the voice chuckles, before answering.

'Well, let's just say I'm you. Now rest, Tetsuya...'

And with that, the tealette was soon enveloped by darkness and shadows.

A dark chuckle then resounded across the room. Kagami and Haizaki found themselves immobile, confused as to why their strength were leaving their bodies. They watched as the tealette slowly rises from the ground.

"What the hell did you do to m-!"

Gray eyes met at foreign dark blue ones, and a horrible chill shook throughout his body. He wanted to move, wanted to stay as far away from the small teen, but he can't.

The tealette wasted no time and walked towards Haizaki, a wide smile was plastered on his face.

"Was it fun killing innocent people?" The tealette quietly asks, holding onto Haizaki's chin and stared into gray irises.

"W-what?" The raven haired replied, too frightened to find the proper words to speak. He was already losing himself into those deep blue eyes.
