(SIMON'S POV)

I dragged Izzy all the way to the Pamdemomium Club. I told her that we would text Magnus when we get there. She reluctantly agreed.

I opened the doors of the club and saw a fiery red-head talking to a guy.

What was so special about him?

Isabelle gasped. I gave her a confused look.

"Glamour," she said.

I nodded and we walked towards Clary. Her palms were clammy and sweat rolled down her temples.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, just talking to a friend of Sebastian's," she replied.

We felt a cool chill on our back and turned around. Magnus stood in the doorway.

He searched around for familiar faces before seeing us.

He walked to us, and froze when he saw the man.

Magnus's eyes widened.

"Hello, son," said the man, without even looking up from his envelope.

(JACE'S POV)

Oh great, I thought. This little slut again.

She blushed and inched closer towards me.

I inched farther away. There was disappointment on her face, but right now, all I cared about was Clary.

I turned to get a glance of her. Standing by her was Simon, Isabelle, and Magnus.

They all looked in shock, for some reason.

It was just a demon, we've all seen plenty before, I thought.

I finished my drink and set it on the counter.

I slowly tiptoed to the group hovered around this man.

I only caught half of the conversation.

"Hello, son," the demon said.

Son? Who was he talking to?

Then I looked at Magnus. He looked like he was about to faint.

And then it hit me.

This was Magnus's father.

But why was he here?

What did he want?

And what was in that damn envelope?

I whispered in Izzy's ear. "What's going on?"

She flinched, then realized who it was.

"I don't know," she said. "Clary was sent on a mission for Sebastian to meet up with Magnus's dad."

I had a million questions, but I knew no one could give me the answer.

Suddenly Clary spoke. "Is that all you want?" She clearly sounded impatient and annoyed.

"Yes, thank you dear. I will be seeing more of you very soon, I assume?" It sounded like a question, but I was pretty sure it was a statement.

"Well, bye then," she said hastily.

She walked towards the exit, while the others chatted with Magnus.

I followed her outside. I knew I shouldn't have, but I had to know where she was going.

She took out her stele and drew a portal. Clary stepped inside.

Without hesitstion, I slowly went through the portal.

(CLARY'S POV)

I knew Jace had followed me. I wasn't stupid, I could hear his footsteps.

As soon as I landed on flat ground, I ran to the small cottage.

Inside, I heard voices.

I burst through the door and saw Sebastian and the Seelie Queen.

"Back so soon, little sister?" he smirked. "Did you like your visitor?"

"You didn't tell me he was Magnus's father!" I shouted.

He smirked even wider.

I growled.

"Follow me, little sister," he replied and grabbed her by the wrists.

Great.

When I arrived at the cottage, Sebastian shoved me inside.

In the middle of the room was a screen.

It had Jace and I on it, we were kissing.

The scene almost brought tears to my eyes as I thought about Jace kissing that girl.

Then, Sebastian spoke.

"This is what will happen if you do cooperate," he yawned.

Sebastian clicked a button.

The scene changed and there was a knife placed in my stomach. Jace was still kissing me, but my mouth gushed out blood.

I gasped and Sebastian chuckled.

"This is what will happen if you don't cooperate."

Suddenly, the doors flew open, and a tired looking Jace stepped inside.

(JACE'S POV)

I landed on the ground with a loud thump.

I didn't see Clary in sight, but I knew she couldn't have gone far.

I searched around until my eyes landed on a small cottage.

I thought it was a glamour, since Sebastian didn't seem like the kind of guy to own a cottage.

The grass smelled freshly-cut and the air felt crisp.

I hesitantly stepped inside and saw the Seelie Queen.

"Seelie Queen?" I growled.

"Jonathan," she rolled her eyes. "What an unpleasant surprise."

"Where's Clary?" I snapped.

"No idea," she replied lazily.

I groaned and pushed past her.

Inside the room, Sebastian sat by a chair talking to Valentine.

"Where is she?" I demanded.

"Excuse me, Lightwood?" He smirked.

"I said," I growled. "Where. Is. She?"

"Don't you see her?" He pointed to Valentine. "She's right there."

"No-no! You're lying!" My blood was raging inside.

He chuckled to himself then snorted. "Lightwoods."

Suddenly, Valentine got up.

His eyes met mine, and I felt a cold chill up my spine.

Then, a little red-head that I know all too well appeared.

She walked up to Valentine and he raised his knife.

"NO!" I screamed and pounced at Valentine.

But I was a second too late.

Clary was laying lifeless on the ground, her throat slit.

I walked up to Valentine and grabbed the knife on the ground.

"You will pay."

And with those words, I plunged the knife just below Valentine's heart.

But as the knife went deeper, the image of Valentine disappeared and Clary was laying lifeless like she had been a few minutes ago.
