"*cough* *cough* We're alive!! Thank Hokage!!" Sarada exclaimed while Boruto was coughing beside her "Yeah thank Hokage!" Boruto agreed as Sarada started to cough out water "Do you still have the scroll?" He asked and Sarada nodded her grip never loosened when they landed in the river

"So where are we?" Boruto asked as he got up and looked around she shrugged "I don't know" "Well at least it can't get any wor-" Boruto was cut off by the sound of thunder and rain falling from the sky Sarada glared at him "Excuse me were you gonna just say worse?!" She asked in an angry tone he gulped "No" "You weren't?" "Nope" "You sure?" "Absolutely"

"Well whatever let's just find some shelter" Boruto nodded and began to follow Sarada as she started to walk away to find shelter after a while they found a cave and began to walk towards it until they both felt strong chakra like dangerous chakra so they both got out their kunai and began to approach it slowly and Boruto looked inside "Sensei?" 'Wait what?' Sarada thought as she also looked inside "Dad?" She said as they both saw Sasuke Uchiha sitting inside the cave "What are you doing here?" She asked as she put away her kunai and Sasuke gave them a look "I could ask you both the same thing but first come inside it's pouring out there" He said and both of the genuins nodded and walked inside

"Achoo!" Sarada sneezed and Sasuke wrapped his cloak around her "So what are you guys doing this far from the village? Can't be a solo mission your only 12" Sasuke asked. They both looked at him in surprise "Were that far from the village?" Boruto asked Sarada shrugged "We were on a mission with our team but we..got separated..." Sarada explained "How?" Sasuke asked anger building up inside him he wondered if Sarada was hurt "U-Um...we were ambushed by rogue ninjas and Boruto and I were followed to a cliff and we fought them but then one of the ninjas punched Boruto which caught him off guard and he flew backwards and went over the edge"

Boruto rubbed his bruised whiskered cheek where the ninja punched him "I ran to grab his arms to pull him up, and that's when the ninja was going to try and attack me" Sasuke gritted his teeth "But then the rocks slipped underneath me, which caused me to slip and me and Boruto both fell into the river" Sarada concluded and she scooted away from her father along with Boruto cause they can see a dark aura around him

Boruto then looked at Sarada's arms and his eyes widen a bit "Sarada your arms" Sarada looked at him confused then looked at her arms. Her arms were scratched, probably from the rocks when they slipped from under her. Her eyes widen and Sasuke took out a bandage and wrapped it around her arms covering them both. Sarada then leaned against his shoulder and fell asleep

"Boruto" Sasuke said as he turned to face him when he knew that Sarada was fast asleep. Boruto looked at him "What is it Sensei?" He asked him, Sasuke looked at him with a serious face which caused Boruto to get a little nervous "I know how much you care for my daughter" Boruto blushed a bit thinking that he knew hat he liked Sarada but then realized that he meant as a friend and relaxed "So promise me one thing" Sasuke said as he turned from Boruto and looked at Sarada's sleeping face

"Promise me that you will always protect her"

Boruto looked at Sasuke with a surprised expression on his face, he saw Sasuke still looking at Sarada and Boruto smiled "I'll protect her with my life! And I won't go back on my word!" Boruto declared and Sasuke smiled 'He sounds so much like Naruto' he thought to himself, Boruto then leaned on Sasuke's shoulder and fell asleep
