Destroy what destroys you.

In times of fright, a human does the first thing his mind tells him. Well, in my case, I did the second thing that my mind told me. The first thing it told me was to scream my lungs out. But the second thing that it told me, and which I actually did, was way too crazy. Yet, it was totally right.

I decided to attack the intruder.

In a snap decision, I jerked off the bed, feeling the intruder's arm fall freely from my waist. Before he could react, I swung my leg over his waist so that I was in a kind of straddling position with him, which I didn't give much thought to, and grabbed the pillow I had rested my head on. I brought it above my head before smashing it at his face. I heard him take a sharp intake of breath. I didn't really know what I was doing. I had the pillow pressed on his face, which was kind of, an attempt to murder him but I didn't care, for I was solely concerned for my safety. He, whoever he was, had intruded into my room. And that too in the middle of the night!

Instantly, two huge arms shot out in front of me, griping my wrists before shoving me to the right, which caused me to lose my balance on him. I let out a yelp as I fell on the bed, right next to him. The next thing I knew, he was the one hovering over me, in the same straddling position I was in with him a few moments ago. My cheeks flushed at this.

He held my hands down on the bed, trapping them on either side of my head. He dipped his head down towards my face to take a better look.

"Who are you?!" We shouted at the same time. I struggled under him as he just stared at me. I couldn't see his face because of the dark and I was sure he couldn't see me either, but the voice sounded somewhat familiar.

"Help! Help me! Somebody please, help m-," my words were quickly muffled when he slammed his hand down on my mouth, effectively shutting me up.

"Shut up."

I didn't listen to him. I was too afraid and panicked at having a stranger in my room at midnight. I simply tried to get up, punching him in the chest, which was bare, I noticed, which only made me panic further. A naked stranger in my room at midnight?!

"Get off of me, you bastard," I groaned as I violently struggled under him, trying to get him to lose his balance, which he actually did. He fell off of the bed. Unfortunately for me, he still had a death grip over me and so he ended up pulling me down with him.

I yelped as I waited for the impact of my fall. I heard a loud groan as I felt myself land on something not as hard and cold as the floor. Luckily, I had a soft landing but to my utmost displeasure, I had landed on top of the stranger.

I instantly got to my feet. Seeing that the figure was still lying on the floor groaning in pain, I kicked him in between his legs to render him helpless so that he wouldn't try to run away.

He screamed in pain, clutching the affected area.

Without waiting for anything else, I dashed towards the door, throwing it open, only to meet the sight of a startled and shocked Mrs. Jenson and a sleepy but wide eyed Olivia.

"Oh my God, Juliet! What was that I heard in your room? Are you okay?" She asked, concerned.

"M-mom! There's a man in my room." I said urgently, looking at the door of my room, still in shock.

"What?!" Olivia's mouth dropped open. "Someone broke into the house? We should call the cops."

"Wait." Mrs. Jenson ran into the room just as the lights flicked open and I followed after her, trying to stop her lest the man attacked again.
