You glanced down at your wrist, looking at the bracelet you had for over 10 years.

It was a beaded bracelet, all white but one bead was black. Remembering who gave it to you, brought a slight tear to your eye.

~Flashback: Age 7~

"(Y/n)! (Y/N)!" A little black haired boy said, running up to you.

His crimson eyes were sparkling as he came face to face with you.

"What Rogue?"

"I got these for us!"

He opened his hands to reveal two bracelets. One was all black with a single white bead and the other was opposite, being all white and having one black bead.

"T-thanks! What are they?" Little you blushed.

"They're distance bracelets! So, wherever life takes us, I'll always be with you!" The cute, little boy smiled.

"Aw! Thank you little shadow!"

"Anything for my little princess!"

The kids hugged. Then, he put the white bracelet on you.

Today was the fourth day of the GMG and you were apart of Fairytail.

You hid under a (f/c) cloak and sat by Mavis.

"I've never asked you, but why do you always wear that bracelet?" The innocent Mavis asked.

She startled you, because no one had asked about it before.

"W-well an old friend gave to me...when we were training with our dragons."

The girl nodded and went back to watching the games.

"It's really pretty."

Askua said, staring at your wrist.

You smiled,

"Thanks!"

"THAT STUPID SABERJERK HURT OUR LUCY!"

You yelled, rushing into the battlefield with Natsu.

He caught her in time, she was badly injured.

"L-lucy! Come on! Wake up!"

She barely spoke.

"NATSU HURRY AND TAKE HER TO THE INFIRMARY!"

'Saberjerks...who do they even think they are?'

You stayed with Lucy, until it was your battle.
"Come on Natsu, we have some tigers to beat."

"THIS NEXT BATTLE IS FAIRYTAIL'S NATSU DRAGNEEL AND (y/n) (l/n) AGAINST SABERTOOTH'S STING EUCLIFFE AND ROGUE CHENEY!"

Mato announced, as they walked on the battlefield

Natsu and you started to attack, combining you power of (dragon slayer magic type) with his fire. It scratched them up, but they were still fighting.

"LIGHT DRAGON-"

"SHADOW DRAGON-"
"ROAR!"

It got pretty bright and you were pushed into the ground.

"AND SABER-"

"You think you can take us that easily?" Natsu said, helping you out of the hole.

The duo seemed shocked and you used that to your advantage. Together, you guys knocked them out.

"FAIRYTAIL IS THE WINNER OF THIS ROUND!"

Cheers were heard all throughout the audience. You decided to check on them, when you noticed something. The bracelet on his wrist. All black beads, with the single white one.

"R-rogue It's you!"

He slowly got up, but his eyes widen seeing you.

"(Y/N)!"

It had taken a long time for you to finally realize that he was your little shadow!

He got up, which probably really hurt and hugged you.

"M-my princess..."

"My shadow."

You both cried in the comfort of each other.

"You kept the bracelet I gave you...for this long?"

"Of course I did. I love it!" You smiled at him, then saw he was bleeding.

"OH SHOOT YOU'RE STILL HURT! COME ON!"

The audience 'awed' as they watched the moment between you two.

Dragging him, you took him to the Fairytail's infirmary. Along with his partner, Sting.

Using your secret power of healing, you helped him.

"W-why are you being so nice to me?"

You gave him a very cute smile and said,

"I wouldn't want my shadow to die! Besides, this princess needs a prince."

He sat there in shock and you finished healing him.

"Hey Rogue who's this?"

The blonde guy asked.

"My princess."

He just nodded and laid back down.

"(Y/N), I-I-I ....love you!"

You were startled by his sudden confession, which he had said super fast.

"Hehe, what was that?"

"I-I love you!"

You bopped his nose.

"I love you too, my shadow prince!"

~3 years later~

"Where's Rolo at?" you asked your husband, Rogue. Both of you still had the bracelets that represented your love.

"Our shadow princess is spending time with her brother." He said casually.

"Oh gosh....THEY'RE PROBABLY LOST! FROSCH! ROLO!"

The two went looking for them, while enjoying the time they had together. The shadow and the princess lived happily ever after.
