"And then, he told me he'd make time to tutor me. Isn't that great!? What a nice dream..." Marin sighed, eyes sparkling, spellbound by his own fantasies [?], "I really hope there'll be a part two..." Alyn held an amused lopsided grin, trying desperately not to laugh at the innocent quality of his best friend's dreams. Seriously, was he even supposed to be in high school? In this day and age, you'd be hard-pressed to find cinnamon rolls Marin's age.

Marin was still lost in his daydreams as Adrien walked into the classroom and plopped his stuff on the table.

"Yo, Alyn. Say, Marin, when did you want to meet up for tutoring? I'm free on Wednesday, if that's cool with you, but if it's not Sunday works, too."

Alyn's and Marin's grins froze on their faces, and very slowly, they turned to each other.

"HUH? YOU MEAN IT WASN'T A DREAM?" they chorused in unison.

Nino, just making his way in and stifling a yawn, was nearly bowled over as Alyn dragged Marin out of the classroom for a private talk.

"Hey!" he yelled, shaking his fists "What gives!? Some of us are trying to learn here!"

"...Nino, class hasn't started yet."

Alyn silently screamed, shaking his hands, upturned and curled into claws, up and down repeatedly.

"Do you hear me, Marin!?" he hissed quietly, "Do you hear my scream of utter confusion!?!?!? What the hell happened yesterday!?"

"Uh, um... W-we went to the nurse's office... but she wasn't there... so Adrien stayed to look out for me? And then I woke up, but I thought I was dreaming- and then he grabbed my arm and saw that I was... trying to learn Chinese, and then he offered to teach me??? I thought it was just a dream, so I said yes!" Alyn slowly lowered his hands, taking deep breaths and closing his eyes.

"Okay, calm down Alyn, calm down now..." his eyes flew open, stare piercing Marin. He swept a hand through his hair, contemplating the situation.

"Hm, at least you didn't totally screw it up... I need the deets though. On a scale of 1-10, how positive was your interaction with him? You said you thought it was a dream, right? Did you stutter at all?"

"Well... I guess I spoke pretty normally until he grabbed my wrist... Maybe an 8?"
"Good, good. And you agreed to the tutoring session, so you've got that going for you. You've never been to his house before, right?" Marin's mind flashed to that crazy day when Gabriel put the mansion into lockdown.

"This house is built like a fortress," he'd said, the whole house encasing itself in steel armour. Rich people really were different. Though it was kind of suspicious that Chat knew so much about the defense system. Perhaps he had a house just like that. Marin had never thought much about Chat's financial status, but what did it matter? Unless Chat was homeless. Or living in a cardboard box. Marin imagined him mewing pitifully from a cardboard box on the street, a little sign that said, 'Take me home!' and had to stifle a laugh.

"Nope," he got out, "Not really. Well, I stood in the foyer once, but that was about it... Oh yeah, plus Christmas."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about Christmas. Well, it's a start at least," Alyn pulled him in by his shoulders, eyes blown to twice their normal size, pressing his forehead against Marin's in a decidedly threatening manner.

"DON'T. SCREW THIS UP, MARIN. This is a once in a lifetime chance, but you could make it so much more! Turn it into a lifetime of chances! So pull yourself together, and act like other normal human beans! OR ELSE."
