CHAPTER 30

"Why?" I asked, he stayed silent

"Why do you want to do that to them, they were just trying to escape and were using me as a bait, what more could have happened? They could have just simply kill me, why that was a big deal for you?" I asked, he instantly covered my mouth with his hand, "Don't you dare say that again, you got that!" he warned, I nodded in response and watched him as he removed his hand from my mouth and changed the gear, increasing the speed making me grip the seat belt tighter.

"You didn't answer my question," I said after a long pause,

He remained silent, just continue to drive, "You are my fiancé," he answered after a few minutes,

"Fiance or just a business deal?" I asked,

"Yeah, a deal, which I can't lose, because this deal is one of the most important deal of my life, I can't lose it at any cost, if I lose this deal, I will lose everything in my life," he said, and increase the speed.

I don't know why, but his words didn't affect me this time, he wanted to say something else, but he just covered it up, I thought looking at him, I remained silent, having no idea what to say, I lay my head at the back and closed my eyes,

"Thank you," I said, still keeping my eyes closed,

"You don't have to thank me Areesha, I would have done anything to save you," he said,

"Why?" I asked, looking at him,

"Sometimes there are no words to explain why Areesha, something happens in life, that you just don't think about it, we just act, not bothering to think before doing it," he said, staring at me.

"Does this include your decision to marry me?" I asked, again, he was silent for a few minutes,

"No," he replied shortly, I open my mouth to ask him but he raised his finger,

"No more talking," he said

"But..."

"Just shut it!" he said and I rolled my eyes, here he goes again back to his arrogant self, I really wonder how a person can change so quickly, his mood swings are really hard to bear.

The rest of the drive went through quietly, he stopped his car in front of my house and unlocked the door on my side by pressing the button, he didn't even glance me for once after I asked him that question,

"Be careful," he said as I opened the door of my side, I looked back at him, he was looking at the empty road in front of him, I shifted my gaze to my hands and slowly got down from the car, "I am sorry, I ruined this dress," I said turning back, not wanting to go inside, yet, he shrugged his shoulder,

"Not a big deal," he said, again, not looking at me,

"You sure, you can drive, I think you should first see a doctor, you need stitches," I said, looking at his injured leg, he shook his head, "I am fine," he said and locked the door,

"If you don't want to see a doctor, it's okay, you can come inside, I can take care of your wound, I had some training back in the college, I did some medical courses," I told him, gripping the side of his car, he shifted his gaze to me, and stared at me for some time,

"You know how to stitch?" he asked, I nodded and looked at him, he sighed audibly and got down from his car making me grin like a child, he picked up his cell phone from the dashboard and stand in front of me, motioning me to move,

I slowly took steps towards the main door and press the doorbell, Alex might be up till now,Alex told me he will wait for me, but what happened next totally surprised me or I should say totally shocked me,
