"areum, you like this one?" the brown haired boy asked, interlacing his fingers with hers as they strolled past the mall kiosks. her brown eyes traveled over the workers, handing out samples of beauty products and encouraging costumers to feel the soft fabrics of clothing items.
"not really." she mumbled, watching as he set the red purse back on the stand and continued walking with her. "i'm not looking to buy anything today."
the boy nodded his head, ruffling her jet black hair with his slender fingers as they exited the mall. they arrived at his faded grey car and stepped in, turning on the radio to their favorite station and starting off down the road.
he placed his hand on her wide thigh and kept his eyes on the street in front of them, smiling to himself.
"i love you." he said, catching her eyes in the mirror as he drove. areum nodded, her face dropping a bit as she mumbled her half-hearted response.
"i love you too, taehyung."
