Red Queen- Revenge

Chapter 9

Mare POV

All I hear is voices. Very muffled but I can pick out one voice. It's Cal's, however the second is strange to me.

I peel my eyes open to see Cal alone, and the door slam shut. He is wearing a plain black t-shirt.

"Hey." I say quietly and he looks at me and grins.

"Hey." He sits next to me and rubs my head. It feels soothing.

"What happened." I ask and he smiles bigger.

"You killed Elara." He said and I grinned. It's finally over. All the threats, damages, it's done.

I look around and see that I'm in the infirmary again.

"Was I hurt?" I ask. I do t remember being hurt.

"Your brain was exhausted from all the power you used." He said and I laughed.

"It was totally worth it." I say and he laughs. I notice a small cut above his eyebrow but other then that, no injuries.

"I've got some news for you." Cal says and I raise my eyebrows.

"Please enlighten me." I said and giggled.

"We're pregnant." We grin at each other. Our family is going to get a little bigger.
