The next morning I was shaken awake by the sound of the doorbell ringing.

I answered, boxers, tshirt and all. My hair was sticking up in all directions.

A small red headed girl stood in front of me. She wore red frames that matched her ruby red lipstick. White teeth, perfectly done makeup. She'd be the perfect wife to some fancy business man, like Levi.

"How can I help you?" I asked, yawning.

"I'm a friend of Levi. Where is he?" This woman spoke with a hint of annoyance. It was slight. Like she tried to hide it, even from herself.

"Uh, I think he probably went to work out. What do rich men do in the mornings?" I shrugged.

The woman nodded. "Now that you say that, I'm pretty sure he does go for a morning run. Anyways, I'm Petra." She held her slim hand out and I easily took it in mine to shake.

"I'm Eren. Mr. Ackerman's newest slave." I murmured, letting go of her hand.

A grin tugged at her lips. "Well good luck. Can you pass these along?" She asked, holding up a big folder. It was stuffed with all different types of papers.

"Uh yeah.." I took them and they almost fell from my arms. Heavier than I thought.

Just as I was going to open my mouth to speak Petra spoke. "Manuscripts. Levi is usually the head of the company, but once in a while he checks in and wants to read."

I just nodded and turned. "Oh thanks." I didn't really care what these were anyways. I kicked the door closed with my foot and set the folder on the table.

I walked away from the folder and abandoned it right there. Levi would see it when he got back. I was paying attention to my growling stomach.

"Foooood." I whined and looked at the bare kitchen. It looked like there was nothing to eat at all. Did this man even eat?

I searched through the cupboards and found some old pancake mix. It was one of those you just add water with. I figured that could work.

After what felt like forever I managed to find a pan, a bowl, plate, fork, and spatula. That was basically all I needed for the pancakes.

Once I mixed water in I poured the batter into the pan over the stove.

As I waited for it to cook I heard the door open and shut. Levi walked into the kitchen sweaty and worn out looking. He went straight to the fridge to grab a bottle of water.

Levi opened a bottle and drank half of it before speaking to me. "I see you found a way to live." He murmured.

I rolled my eyes and flipped my pancake. "I think this pancake batter expired like two years ago."

"Oh well. If you get sick I'll call the doctor." Levi shrugged and sat at the counter.

I huffed loudly and turned my back to him. For some reason it felt like he was staring. I could feel it. It creeped me out, but at the same time intrigued me.

This man in general creeped me out yet intrigued me. Did that make me weird? Probably, but oh well.

It felt odd just having my back to him, and the silence made it even worse. "Do you want a pancake?" I asked, setting a cooked one down on the plate. Levi didn't look like one that ate pancakes and was surprised to see that he nodded.

I handed the pancake over on the plate with ease and began cooking another one. "I hope you have syrup. It's like having cereal without milk if you don't have syrup.

Levi didn't answer and stood up. He searched in the cupboards until he found one. "I have syrup. Happy?"

I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "Oh is that expired too?" I grinned to myself. I was so irritating. I annoyed myself.

Levi put a small amount of syrup on his pancake and set it aside for me. Once the second pancake was made I sat next to Levi at the counter and began eating. "Not bad."

I could see that Levi agreed, he just nodded though.

What an odd man. I shrugged it off. "Oh and some lady friend stopped by and left you a folder."

"Petra, shes just a coworker." Levi mumbled and got up to retrieve the folder from the table.

Why did he feel the need to explain himself to me?

"I see..and that's all? You didn't need to explain myself to me. If you're dating her or just sleeping with her I really don't care."

"But I'm not.." Levi responded lowly.

"But you don't have to tell me that." I finished my pancake and headed towards the sink.

"Idiot, I'm trying to lead you to what I have to say next. If you'd stop interrupting I'd tell you I'm gay." Levi narrowed his eyes.

I froze. "Oh..um sorry?" I had no idea how to respond to him. What else was I going to say? "You didn't need to come out to me either...I'm not planning on staying long."

It looked as if Levi wanted to laugh in my face,  but of course, he didn't. He just stared at me with a dark glare. "That's what you think."
