she wasn't hesitant, but it's okay, i understood.

but now she's mine.

but the thing is, it was only a matter of time before I found out the truth.

she quickly became distant, almost as if something inside her clicked.

she wasn't the same girl anymore.

"alice!" i shout, "i just got off the phone and i have great news.

"can you tell me later? please?" she asks.

"oh right, you're busy." i mutter.

she was working away on her laptop and i was left wondering if i should just leave.

the cat at my feet made me want to stay.

kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty.

"why is she screaming like that?" i ask over chloe's meows.

"she hasn't been fed yet and so she acts like she's dying, you can feed her if you want." she says, not even turning to look at us.

eh, whatever, "come on cat."

first you obviously gotta give them fresh water and then i search around for her food bag, it didn't seem to be where it has been in the past.

maybe she moved it?

i start opening up all the drawers and cupboards searching for it, eventually i find it.

"jesus she has as a lot of medications." i mumble.

reaching for the cat food, one in particular catches my eye.
